Very useful video. Too many gym bros, especially beginners, completely skip out on the warm up and then wonder why they feel fragile during their workout.

Warming up properly is something people don't take seriously enough. I had my team at work do exercises like this for 10-15 mins everyday before each shift, we never had an injury from repetitive strain in 4 years. I left that team, they stopped the warm up and now there's a good 8-10 people constantly in and out of physio and on light duties. I like to do some light cable face pulls and squeeze the rear delts and upper back, and superset tricep extensions before benching. Shoulders are Mercedes Benz smooth. It does take time, and it does make your workouts a little longer but as you get stronger you have to put time into mobility and preventing injuries

I appreciate the shoulder tips because I’m feeling something lately that’s painful

Good stuff here. The evolution of fitness is learning all facets. When you start to advance. It adds up and prevents injuries.

Great tips! I struggle with bad posture, never thought of an arnold press for a warm up. Worked great!
I also enjoy using a cambered bar for bench accessories great range of motion for a barbell

Ngl i feel like i wouldve burned some of my gas by time i benched doing this 😂. But i do like the 5lb weight warmups and the “keep body hot” mentality.

I can’t believe you didn’t do a single back exercise to warm up, the back is so so important for a heavy bench, it’s your platform.
