my not so optimal leg day warm up routine

If you're unsure of what to do for a leg day warmup, then here is a very basic warm up routine that I've been doing before training legs 🦵🏼

The main importance of warming up is that it greatly decreases your chances of injury. The longer you can stay injury free, the more progress you can make inside the gym.

Ideally, you should just be doing dynamic stretches and I do encourage you to build your own warm up routine that targets areas that you feel you need to work on the most.

However, as doo doo as my warm up is, I think this should at least be the bare minimum for what you should be doing.

On top of warming up and stretching, always make sure to acclimate properly, and never jump straight into your working sets.

I do the same warmup and I can confirm it's really good. Just few dynamic stretches and slowly increase towards the working set for first exercise.

I've personally found that just doing the movements for the day at a lighter weight is a good warm up.

Btw, you may want to do some research on stretching before a workout. Pretty sure it increases injury risk.

Never miss a hip stretch, I got injured to many times from having a case of lazy

The worse thing about warm up sets is the time necessary to do every warm up set 💀
Of we do 3 or 4 we stay a bunch of hours in the gym.

Icl i never really have time for too many stretches, i just go for a 5 - 20 mile cycle in the morning to get the blood flowing then obliterate myself on squats because it’s great fun

I injured my right glute during Bulgarian split squat. I thought I warmed up enough but probably not good enough. That movement gives you such a deep and tight stretch not sure what happened. Just feels like someone give me a good hard kick on my ass haha. I had 27.5 kilo dumbell weight in total. Broke my right leg many years ago, it’s still struggling to get strong so that weight is extreme for me right now. So not weird this happens.

Man injuries suck even small ones
I tore my peck ( minor tore muscle) I am blessed that it was not tendon
But the wait to put up plates on bench just kills
Trust me after toring peck leg training feels much better than upper body training
