5 Min Full Body Warm Up with Caroline Girvan

This is full body 5 min warm up you can follow along to prior to exercise. If you follow along before your workouts, you will quickly get to know what’s coming next and won’t feel the need to watch this over and over as it will become second nature!

I would recommend further warming up if carrying out working sets. For example:

Bar only for 20 reps for chest press, barbell squats etc before working sets
If using using, use lighter weight for warm up set(s)
At least 20 reps bodyweight lunges or squats before weighted sets
For plyometrics, incorporate set(s) of less powerful jumps etc

This video is simply to give you an idea, so please feel free to make it your own! If you have really tight hamstrings for example, simply carry out more dynamic stretching on this area.

Thanks for watching!

That is roughly the same warm up we did for all PT in the Army(UK). Work yourself down the body. Easy to remember easy to repeat!

I'm 70 and love doing this warm-up after waking up to get my joints going for the day. This helps me to start my day!

My Oncology nurse noticed that I was getting weaker. She suggested I try your videos. Now I just got thru the first one, but it worked for me. I will be coming back daily until I have a morning, noon and evening routine. Thanks to you and to my wonderful, hardworking, not just at my facility, NURSE.

I just started your epic series and wanted to say thank you for making this available at no charge. I appreciate that you take breaks during the sets to give yourself a chance to recover. Makes it a little more real and human. I am enjoying the workouts so far and sweating buckets. You are amazing, and I appreciate being able to workout with you.

Please don’t skip this. I never warmed up before workouts, was just too impatient. Ended up injuring myself by going too hard. I didn’t think it could happen to me because I was in pretty good shape. I’m here to yell you, it can and it will. Take the time to do this, or any of her other warm ups. Not doing it and saving 5 minutes from your day is NOT WORTH IT! Believe it from someone who learned the hard way. I will never skip a warm up ever again.

my dog knows the intro song for all of Caroline's videos because he likes to chew on his bone when I'm working out, and whenever I play a video he runs up to me all excited ha ha

These workouts are always amazing and you are literally one of the most mentally and physically strongest women that I know. I am so thankful and feel so blessed to be able to workout with you every morning! I’m keeping up with you...I need to find some bigger DB because I’m outgrowing the ones I’m using! Stronger, everyday! All because of you, Caroline! 😘❤️🙌🏻🙏

Thank you Caroline for another awesome workout🏋️‍♂️ Doing your workouts mean so much to me. I was so disappointed in how I did yesterday that I went back and did the abs segment again this am. 👏👍I listened to you and focused on my form!! Thank you for keeping me focused. A big THANK YOU too, for all the positive comments. Especially yours Mathew! It really helps getting through the restrictions the Pandemic has put on my lifestyle☹️ I’m in my mid 70s and haven’t been able to hug my kids or grandkids. Reading positive remarks and exercising has helped me physically and mentally. 😍

I love Caroline's warm-ups. They're always challenging but not too much, and they leave me feeling ready to take on anything.

Oh man, initially I was skeptical and thought this first workout was going to be easy. It kicked my butt in a good way. My first day on my journey to get ripped at the age of 53
