Do This BEFORE Every Workout (BETTER THAN FACE PULLS!)

Alright today we’re going over an exercise you should do before every workout that will warm up your shoulders and improve your posture.

Now normally these videos that go over how to improve your posture and fixing a shoulder slump wouldn't be my favorite topic to make video on but this one exercise has done so much for me I had to share. And believe me when I say I tried face pulls but they had no impact what so ever. I suffered from a pinched nerve in my neck and had constant horrible pain in my rear delt, trap and neck because of it. This is exercise alone fixed it! Not only that it’s helped me make drastic improvements in my chest because it improved my thoracic mobility and posture.

Where I got all my equipment (the best!):

#posture #facepull #warmup

Ryan, I'm 57 yrs old and have trained since I was 18. I've had several surgeries including a repair of a complete rupture of the labrum and two rotator cuff tendons (L shoulder). Spent YEARS trying to bring that left shoulder back up to speed. Just tried this and had a true blue "holy shit" moment. FAR better than simple face pulls. I owe you one!

Ryan, I am 145 years old, I have been training since I was 4! This helped cure everything. (jokes aside, I really needed this video, <3)

Ryan,
I am 51 and have been in the gym since 30 something. I recently had a pulled nerve in my neck that made me lose sensation in my finger permanently. This exercise is amazing. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It has been excellent so far and was so necessary for guys with this posture issue. Don't be shy to share gems like this again. Thanks again.

Ryan, 54 year old here . Been resistance/movement training for function and daily stregnth since I was 24. This exercise has relieved alot of burrning pain in the back/base of my neck (and has helped my rear delts pop). Great exercise, Thanks!

48 yrs old. Always looking for a good shoulder warm up before smashing the weights. Damn it, this one is pretty f'ing good. With each rep past six I was saying f-u, Ryan... f-u, Ryan...The burn was pretty intense but I could really feel it as long as I kept it a slow motion. Pretty damn good. I did it everyday this week before the lifting. My girlfriends noticed my posture and center back muscles are better. Thanks, Ryan.

Athlean-X had something like this in some of Jeff’s shoulder workouts and back stuff. It helped me a lot, and this right here is a fantastic improvement on that. Definitely doing this daily. I still use the black balls, but I hog 2 of the ropes so I have a wider pull. And I piss off more people in the gym.

Ryan..I just wanted to congratulate you! You have almost reached a million subscribers in a very short amount of time. All of your haters have been here for almost a decade and haven't reached a million. Greg Doucette did just shy of a decade and took him imitating a bird from Aladdin to do it!
I love your style! You've never went after anyone in your videos. You tell it like it is!

RYAN!!! You need to put this out again and REALLLY tell everyone THEY GOT TO DO THIS! I've been doing this - everyday - since you put it out! In spite of attempting to maintain flexibility and balance by including yoga with weigh training- I've done yoga since early teens.. now 64.. I've been doing serious weight training again since I "retired" .. 6 months.. usually a couple hours a day.. when I first tried this exercise I instantly realized I had a huge blind spot in my training. I couldn't do this when I first tried. That's what's great about it.. just walk yourself more upright to make it easier. I now have 45 plates piled on to hold my full box cable machine to keep it in place as I recline to that 45° angle and pull!! Like you said you would realize there really something different about this. Using it as a warm up now it just fires me up. Something about activating all the upper muscles at the top just makes the rest of the body want to get in the game! Vantastick!!!! Exercise! Let's give it a name.. maybe after your wife for donating her panties 😜!!

Thank you for this video. I am a 61 year old lifter recovering from my second Rotator surgery in 12 months on the same shoulder. I did PT, tried using all kinds of straps and gadgets in my gym to strengthen and stretch the cuff. NOTHING worked like the TRX. 1st rep 1st set of the exercise and got a huge cramp (a problem not new since the injury). Kept going and have to say its gone. GONE. Also turned around and used the same position in reverse to stretch. Thx Ryan. Love the no BS approach to your videos. Keep it up. Aloha

Holy damn that felt good! Please don't stop hitting me with posture and back strength. I need it so bad. Your channel is a major help to me I have avoided the gym because I don't know what I'm doing, your videos are straight forward, inspiring, easy to consume and take to the gym. Makes me confident I'm doing things right. Thank you and don't stop calling me a slob

This is a recap of a lesson I had by Fitness FAQs.
It is good to see youtubers preaching the same methods.
Good on 'ya Ryan.

I turned 61 October 22 and still working out. I work around my old injuries; found different ways to work around them. There's always a way to work around different injuries. Just got back to doing back Sq's from a lengthy layoff due to an injury and after two weeks I'm already at 240 lbs for two singles.
