The way I crack back neck/back is similar. Everything I do is exactly the same, minus the turning. I just pull my head forward, and it cracks my upper back 👌

Why shouldn’t you “force it”? I remember doing this on a chair connected to the desk and pushing on the desk to release… 😳

Also breath in with your belly button then point each elbow to your opposite side hip keeping your back and core straight. You can increase the stretch and effectiveness of the stretch by placing on leg on top of the other ie the leg from the hip you are pointing your elbow to ion top of the other at your ankles. You can hear your lower back pop as you do it, then the other side for balance. Ah relief!!!
