This yoga class is to help gain hip flexibility. These hip opening stretches for tight hips are also great for releasing hip tension and stress within the body. Although this class is focused on releasing the hips and gaining flexibility, hip openers are a great way to ease the mind by releasing stagnant energy within the hips. This is a restorative calming beginner friendly yoga class that is great to practice before bed or to simply end the day.

there's something so comforting and relieving about how you end every video the same way. it's that sense of familiarity, of "oh! i knew this was going to happen!" that makes it so nice. i also love how you use the word "optional" so much. it makes the practice seem a lot more personal and gives me a sense of relief because i know i don't have to follow every pose or movement to a t. your videos and practices are wonderful, thank you so much for putting them out into the universe!

My right hip has been super tight - so much so that I can't even sit crossed-legged without pain. I'm starting a job next week teaching preschool and elementary school music where I will need (& want!) to be sitting on the floor with the students. I'm doing your hip flexibility stretches this week to help me get ready, and have more mobility (& less pain) after only this one video! So, thank you. Your commentary helps guide me into doing these poses properly, really feel the tension let go.Forgot how happy baby can be a self back massage. Using cat/cow to move freely was very nice as well.

What a beautiful, gentle practice! I tend to alternate between strength focused classes and the ultimate stillness of yin yoga, but this was such a lovely movement practice!

I absolutely love your yoga videos - they really help me! since pain/trauma can be stored in the body, I normally have to focus even more on my breathing/self than usual when I'm using yoga to release tension. If you could maybe make some with minimal instruction, I think that it'd be really helpful to people like me that need quiet when they're releasing negative emotion. Have a wonderful day <3!
