Sharing my Yoga Nidra experience. This year I started to do yoga nidra almosy every day, 15-25 minutes after hearing about it on Hubberman lab. What Hubberman says about its affect on learning is ABSOLUTELY true to the point where I'd consider it the biggest life hack ive ever found. I studied and took my Fundementals of engineering exam this year, almost 5 years out of school. Most people take 3-4 months studying 2-3 hours a day. I approximated i needed about 300 hours to study for it. I started studying and studied just 2-3 hours each day and usually did Yoga Nidra after, mainly because I feel more awake afterwards. I started getting great scores on my practice exams a few weeks into it and decided Id sign up and give the full exam a chance. I took it, and passed on my first try after just 5 weeks of studying. Maybe 75 hours total. I was a C+ average student i college and I am straight up BAFFLED how i pulled that off. The only things i can think of are Yoga Nidra and actually managing my ADHD when studying.

Yoga Nidra is soooo relaxing. The yogis and mystics of long ago were so wise to have known this all along... I love that Dr. Huberman studies Eastern practices and philosophy, and is bringing to light the measurable effects and benefits of these practices. 🙏

I was introduced to Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra ~3 years ago. Both are incredible at calming the "monkey brain." Both are life changing. I like Ally Boothroyd on youtube. She has a very soothing voice.

I am 17. I want to let the other people my age that Yoga Nidra [NSDR] is crucial when it comes to learning and mindfulness. Ten Minutes a day can give us drastic attention spans and retention of information. Thank you, Dr. Andrew Huberman.

Also a BIG fan of yoga nidra. Also, in 1975 I was doing TM regularly and taking an electronics course and actually read the thick textbook including every chapter, paragraph, sentence and all the diagrams.
I aced all the exams and passed the course with straight As. I NEVER read a complete textbook before or after this experience. TM allowed me to relax into the material. A phd doctor Grob wrote that book.

Many more aspects of Indian wisdom has yet not been discovered by The Western Countries they just think Yoga and Meditation is the only thing that was originated in India but there are 100s of such concepts and practices which just blew my mind when i got to know that Indians have been practicing since 1000s of years

I really liked that Andrew didn't changed Yoga Nidra to NSDR to demean the Yoga Culture but he did it so that people all over the world will do it without worrying about religions or any other thing and can take all the benefits from these divine ancient techniques cause in one video I saw a Christian priest was saying that "Yoga asanas & practices are a way to bowing down and offering obeciences to Hindu Gods and Goddesses so Christians shouldn't do it" 😂😂😂 I mean seriously. So I am very happy he did that 😊.

Yes, Indian meditative practices are super helpful. It was what the yogis practiced in the olden days...They in fact, had no books to learn from...it was the collective practices that they engaged in and were mostly self learned..they tend to be so valuable... We Indians have disowned our own treasure of knowledge... but the younger Indians are going back to their roots...and recognising the wealth of knowledge that our ancestors possessed..and trying to bring it out into the open..
