The biggest thing that helped me get started was this: You will not see progress immediately, and it may take weeks to even notice a small change. However, know what you are eating, know how much you are burning, and if you are in a calorie deficit then there is no way that you will NOT be successful! When your body is in a deficit, you must lose weight, and as long as you are doing even a little weight training then that weight loss will mostly be from fat. When you get home from the gym do not look in the mirror and expect anything different. But know that one day soon you will see a difference. You can do it!

As someone who has losed like 30 kgs in 3 months AND bounced back, i want to recommend everyone and cant stress this enough(like in this awesome video), TAKE IT SLOW, nobody is rushing you, dont starve yourself and enjoy the ups and downs of your journey, the important thing is not losing fat but instead be and feel healthy

Thanks for the encouragement. At one point I was in excellent shape, but it all fell apart after a major auto accident. I’m just starting to get back on my feet after five years, so I find your vids therapeutic.

One of the realest vids I've seen on youtube about losing fat 'properly' (minimising muscle loss) and getting the whole holistic picture right with sleep and training and ploughing through the ups and down roller-coaster of the journey. I'm 5'8, 82kg and got 28% body fat.. I've got a long way to go. I'm leaving this comment here as a digital milestone I can come back to when I've lost 10kg this year.
