wow I really needed to hear this cause I usually feel pretty guilty after being honest about something, and that's one of the reasons why I dislike fighting or even debating with people, I'm glad I can feel better about this aspect now, thank you very much

I didn't say anything mean, I said the truth but they didn't seem to like it.. I should speak up, standing up for myself.. not easy but it has to be done 💖💖 be who you are

Lol just had a team meeting online and asked a question that confused everybody. I was feeling all sorts of embarrassment afterward and this pops up. Thanks!

I had an argument with my roommate because she touched and replaced my stuff's place. And first I was gonna be quiet then I asked then I didnt like the answer that I get so I told her I didnt like it you touching my stuff without telling me and I would never do the same thing to her. So its a simple conversation about respect right, and then she turned this into a argument I dont know how that happened and I just felt sooo guilty for speaking up. But if I dont speak up I feel even more insecure I feel like I let myself done for the simpliest things I dont speak about. Anyway It caused me a lot of stress and I had to like meditate and cry for 1 hour to get rid of that stress. Its hard protecting myself and telling no I wont allow that

I recently stood up for myself to my friend who keeps ignoring me but tells me she wants me around I voiced how it made me feel hurt that she ignores me or just replies like “oh” “really” “hm” when I say stuff and she got upset now I feel absolutely horrible like could throw up kind of horrible and guilty I’ve been her friend for 5 years and have kept my mouth shut about how she makes me feel to avoid this conflict now I just feel terrible about bringing it up

What happened today was I accidentally dropped my pad in the front seat when I was moved to sit in the backseat. Now the boy sitting in front looked distressed and couldn't say, "Oh, did you drop your pad OR does this belong to you?" But no, on the way he flicks it to the driver and everyone freaks out and I say it's mine. And then the commotion starts, and I say "Haven't you ever seen a pad before?!" and he's like "No I have" and I'm like "Then why you reacting like that? Cause you basically overreacting." The boy who flicked the pad is laughing and I'm so annoyed. I feel so embarrassed about what happened cause now I have to face them again when I go to school and I know they will be talking about me

Thank you! Now I'm feeling much better.
I just said to my co-worker that I don't like the way he work, blaming my team for his inefficient way of work. I said it with polite words, he of course denied it with his reason. I don't reply him again, I only said what I need to say and don't want to debate about it. Also, I said it on general group chat where everyone can read including my boss😂
After that, I feel relieved for few minutes and then feel guilty for 2 hours 😭
And now I found you, and I feel much better.👍

Such a perfect timing video for me. I’m managing a big project at work and I am having a back and forth on work feedback with my developer. Most of the issues come from his lack of attention to detail. He just makes sooo many mistakes.
I feel terrible for pointing out those mistakes for him to fix them. But I do it very politely and I choose my words carefully, gosh I even told him on private that I’m just doing my job and that is not personal and he was ok with it. But I feel soo guilty and like a terrible person. Sometimes I go that far to think that maybe I’m so annoying that I can get fired because no one wants to work with me 😢.
This self negative thoughts are really eating my brain and taking my inner peace away 😭

thanks so much for these videos. This just happened to me, and I was looking for a video from you to address this, because I get so confused with the guilt, and this was sooo helpful! Thanks so much you speak directly to my personality, not so many people understand this, and I really appreciate you and your videos!! I hope I can join one of your programs one day

Actually I only feel quilty when nothing "needs to be said", like in small talk situation. When someone pisses me off and I talk back is when I feel very little quilty, because there was a legitimate reason to talk.

Dr Aziz is on a roll these days with the videos! I am always watching your videos as soon as they go up. Hearing your progress gives me a lot of hope but I am starting to question if our personalities and strengths/weaknesses are built-in. If it is the case, maybe I can stop beating myself up but what are your thoughts on this?
