Let's relax and unwind with this therapeutic yin yoga class for stress and anxiety.

Are you feeling a little bit frazzled, worn out, fatigued or stressed? This 30 minute yin yoga class might be just what you need. This is a gentle therapeutic practice to alleviate stress and anxiety and soothe your nervous system. I'll be using a bolster to make the poses extra comfortable but if you don't have one, just grab a few bed pillows or a couch cushion.

This is a wonderful practice for anyone with adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances and high levels of stress and anxiety. Cleo joins me a bit in this one too which is always a nice treat :)

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.

There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
1. Find your edge
2. Be still
3. Hold the pose

This is my go to yin practice when I am just emotionally tired or overwhelmed, especially being a caregiver to my mom now. This practice helps me to reset myself emotionally. It allows me to practice self compassion and self love, something we all need to give ourselves. I appreciate your soothing and calming teaching style. ❤

I just want to say thank you so much for this practice. I'm Autistic and under a lot of stress, so it's been really hard to regulate myself, but going through this practice always makes such a huge difference. Today was particularly bad for me, but doing this practice has made it so I don't need to take any anxiety pills which is a huge deal for me.

I really liked the chanting of Om at the end. That really sealed the practice for me. A lot of emotions came to the surface during this practice, but holding these gentle poses helped me process some of that and be kinder to myself.

Thank you for all that you do, Kassandra. I’ve been watching your videos since September 2020 and you’ve been around for some huuuuge life changes of mine. I lost 40 lbs of weight and went from borderline hypertension to healthy blood pressure over the course of the last 2 years. And I feel stronger and more agile than ever! I feel yoga creeping into all kinds of life activities, and I find it gives me the bodily coordination to do all kinds of things I was never able to do before. So thank you for all that you do, and know that this is one of my all-time favorite classes of yours! It allows me to reset when I feel I’m spiraling on a bad day. <3 <3 <3

I adore this class as well as the Lazy Yin class. I would LOVE to see more classes geared around nourishing the nervous system or recovering from stress and anxiety. I feel like we need that energy more now than ever.

I am so grateful for all your yin classes. I suffered burnout last year and of all the things I’ve done to recover, daily yin yoga has been the most beneficial for dealing with stress, remaining calm even in adversity, and avoiding the overwhelm that caused me to be off sick from work. I feel that I’ve retrained my nervous system through this practice. Thank you🙏

Loved this, but I got a bit distracted at the end when your gorgeous cat came on screen lmao. It just looked so peaceful with you stroking her/him. I have two of my own and I love them to pieces. When your practise ended, I hit rewind and watched it back and seeing the both of you in Savasana was the most adorable thing ever!!! Namaste
