Hey yogis, this week I have a very special yin yoga practice for you! If you have hormonal issues, this 30 minute yin yoga practice might be just what you need.

While yoga is not a cure, it can help support the healthy functioning of your endocrine system. Hormonal imbalances such as adrenal fatigue or thyroid problems can be aggravated with stress. By practicing restorative styles of yoga like Yin Yoga we can soothe the nervous system and reduce stress. We will do poses that encourage blood flow to the adrenals, pancreas and thyroid. You'll need 2 blocks for this practice.

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.

There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
1. Find your edge
2. Be still
3. Hold the pose

This session brought such a huge emotional release for me, I was crying and healing emotional wounds all the way through the video. Thyroid issues often come from a fear of speaking up, a fear of being in your own power, and it my belief that it can be improved just by learning to love ourselves and forgiving those who made us feel like our voice didnt matter.. It was like I was healing that part of myself while doing this yoga session, absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much Kassandra, you are a light in this world 💕

I did this yoga this morning! And I just came back to this video to comment that this really works! I was not having my periods and the acne was getting so bad because of it but after I did it, I got my periods at night and now I feel much better! Thanks! I’m gonna continue doing this 💜

Regardless of your intro on no guarantees of hormonal balance, this video started my period that had been 9 days late and I will be coming to this video when I’m feeling particularly challenged with my pmdd. Thank you even 5 years later! ♥️

I love this girl ❤️ almost 1 month i start every morning with Kassandra yoga for 10 minute and during the day i do half an hour hormones yoga and it helps me a lot, my life is changed to positive side and my healthy is much better, thank you so much Kassandra 😍🌹💛🧡❤️💙💜💚❣🙏🙏🙏

Absolutely amazing. It feels so often that mainstream yoga of only hard poses and fast paces has taken over (not that I don't love Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow) and I love that in your yin classes I can take a moment to enjoy the pose, feel the pose, reconnect with myself and breathe into the pose instead of running to the next. Thank you for amazing free yoga, love you and your classes <3

This was the third time I've done yoga. I am recovering from adrenal cushings. I really felt relaxed after this 30 mins. I have added this to my new nightly regime. Thank you for making this accessible. I did have to look up "fat girl yoga" to see how my body should look. Not as flexible as thinner people, but happy to feel included. Thank you!

Kassandra has taken yoga to a whole new level, teaching yin for different issues, body parts. I really appreciate this, as I feel I need to restore my body first; then, I can strengthen muscles, etc. Yin yoga is wonderful after one has experienced trauma. Even without much energy, I can still do an hour or more of yin yoga.

I have inserted implanon in my arm for contraception. After having that I’m always feeling fatigue, lazy, headache & stress. Only after 1st time doing this I’m already feeling energised, positive & headache is gone. This is my 3rd time doing this i did it 3 days straight before going to work. Feels like want to do this every day & don’t want to start a day without it. Thank you Kassandra, u help me a lot with this. ❤️

I did this once as my first foray into yoga (trying to heal adrenal/HPA axis issues). I didn’t know what to expect but I certainly didn’t expect to feel as much of a difference after. I was astonished at how calm and at peace I felt. I am now addicted and do it every single day at my lunch break. It has improved my HRV in just a week and I know it is going to be the key to my healing. Thank you so so much🙏🏽
