10-MIN Abs: Get Rid of Muffin Top + Love Handles with This Workout
Показать описание
I lost count of how many times this workout was requested. I'm not in love with the name of it, but it's the abs workout you've been asking for, so it's the abs workout you're getting 🤝
In this 10-minute muffin top + love handles workout, we're targeting those really hard-to-reach transverse abdominis and obliques. Even though it's only ten minutes, I promise you'll feel this one where it counts.
Some things to consider:
It's impossible to spot reduce. You can lose weight overall and tone your muscles, but targeting one particular area isn't realistic. That being said, it's really important to strengthen your core (your base!). And building lean muscles will help boost your metabolism and speed your weight loss process. Additionally, losing weight around your belly can improve your health.
Let's chat a little bit about the health advantages:
"Larger waistlines are linked to a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes and even cancer. Losing weight, especially belly fat, also improves blood vessel functioning and also improves sleep quality. It’s impossible to target belly fat specifically when you diet. But losing weight overall will help shrink your waistline; more importantly, it will help reduce the dangerous layer of visceral fat, a type of fat within the abdominal cavity that you can’t see but that heightens health risks," says Kerry Stewart, Ed.D. , director of Clinical and Research Physiology at Johns Hopkins.
Some other things you can do to help you lose weight around your midline:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Reduce the amount of processed sugar you eat.
3. Pair this with a high intensity workout--especially HIIT!
4. Get plenty of sleep.
5. Try to reduce your stress
