Watched this 2 months ago. Applied it Wed on my ER-5. Played the braking game the rest of the way home. Ordered a spoonful of red rubber grease from ebay. Happy Christmas!

Brilliant, never saw this before, although it wouldn't have fixed my seized cylinder (even the brake fluid struggled). Just a quick word of advice, use the back of your hand, hurts a lot less if its HOT HOT lol

On the salty UK roads the alloy of the caliper sort of grabs the chrome brake pistons and seizes up. A common problem on UK bikes.

can the inner disc brake drag on the rotor and still not make any sound? I can lift my bike and spin the front wheel and it might spin 4 times before it slowly stops, . it has all new bearings and new Grease and I even left the bearing nut loose enough for extra play and it still drags and won't spin very well

do you know how this problem is fixed? do you just take the caliper apart and clean it or more difficult than that?

With brakes it's best take it in to a mechanic, if you messed up, it could be your life. This is a "get you to the garage or home" type of fix.

Okay, cheers. I was just wondering. I let the garage do everything on my bike anyways.

Sorry mate! but that was a bit disappointing as I already do that! I was expecting something revolutionary or whatever! still, it IS only a temporary cure! and it does work for, a while.... :-)

If you're a competent DIY mechanic there's no harm in stripping the calliper yourself, replacing the seals and cleaning the gunk out of there. saves a lot of dosh on labour charges. but then, you do have a bike shop don't you RCN?
