Wasn't expecting that to be anywhere near as hard as it was with such a light weight. By the end of rep 6 I was really feeling the burn 😂 will try to do this every night

thank you! I had v distressing problem that was diagnosed as Frozen shoulder. Here are my detailed notes, but I intuit what you are saying, in relaxing the infraspinatus will DO IT. My long notes for a v distressful problem with my right shoulder. THANK YOU !!

Frozen Shoulder (FS)
I’m confident my ailment is not the typical Frozen Shoulder (or inflammation of the capsule or the tissue surrounding the shoulder joint), but an inflammation of one of the muscles around the shoulder.
I believe the some of symptoms I exhibit are typical of the FS, BUT disinct as
- I do not have any pain in shoulder when passively manipulated. For eg, when benging at my knees, and shoulders drooping there is absolutely no pain in movement of shoulders
- No pain in typing, or rotating shoulders clockwise or anti-clockwise. I hear loud CLICKS in my right shoulder, (but none in my left) when doing so. There is also no pain whatsoever.
- Only during certain certain movments, such as outward active rotation of right elbow with in front or at my side, trying to bend my elbow outwards, do I have very limited mobility, of about 30 degrees, (far less than left elbow that rotates just about 70-80 degrees)
- I cannot walk my right hand up a wall when my arm is stretched more than 40 degrees from vertical – this is the most distressing. HOWEVER if I move walk my hand up passively, (using my left arm as the power source), there is absoltely no pain in the right shoulder.
As a result of above symptoms, I don’t believe I have the typical FS (inflamed capsule) but I believe the muscles around shoulder (are they called the cuff rotators) are inflamed and have seized up. My research and self-analysis and research suggests it’s a highly inflamed Infraspinatus muscle
My self-diagnosis suggests my problem is an inflamed Infraspinatus muscle
As outlined here, it can often be a precursor to a FS
What Causes Infraspinatus Pain and How Can I Treat It?

From article link above, not alleviating it or not relaxing it via exercise, such as the pendulum,
This exercise helps stretch your muscles and the space they pass through so that you don’t get a frozen shoulder.
I have started doing the pendulum exercise here
Pendulum and Codman Exercises for Shoulder Rehabilitation

I find no problem in performing the passive pendulum motion (I have equal mobility in my left and right shoulders passively), but only have v limited mobility when I attempt it actively in right shoulder.
