So I’ve been going to the gym for a longggg time, and I’ve stayed active for the past 7-8 years and I have some tips! The best advice I can give to anyone just starting, YES it IS intimidating, doesn’t matter what size you are, it’s scary at first. The whole “l’m afraid to go to the weight section because I’m afraid I’m gonna do it wrong and people will make fun of me” is a real validating thing because that’s how I felt when I first started. I would also start with something you LIKE to do ex: riding a bike, roller blading, walking etc. but if you only have a gym as your one option this is what I would do! I would get an outfit (like Sam suggested) that makes you feel GOOD and GIRLL wear the makeup if that helps too!! I did! I would take a friend, and start with the cardio, take a look around and figure out the layout of the land. Then go over to the weight section ladies!! Lifting weights is SO GOOD for women because lifting weights helps built bones, and as we age our bone density decreases making osteoporosis more of a reality! Trust me when I say nobody is looking at you and making fun of you. If there was ever a time that I looked at somebody in the gym I was thinking “damn look at her she’s so cute she’s killing it I love her I wish she would be my gym buddy!!” But the main piece of advice on how to go to the gym and how to make it a lifestyle is literally just consistency. You don’t need to go every day you could go twice a week but as long as you’re making an effort to do it, you’re already accomplishing something that 95% of the population isn’t. I believe in you and you CAN do this!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I was told by my doctor that doing exercises that are too strenuous (like running and stair climbing) can actually cause our hormones to freak out causing anxiety. These workouts that you’re doing are the best for PCOS (toning, weight lifting & light cardio) !!

I've sat in my car for like an hour in the summer AZ heat because my anxiety couldn't open the door lol I'm doing better now though. Sending good energy to all of us with anxiety and weight issues!!

your hip thrust form was so good! it helps a lot to put the bench in front of a pole or the wall so it doesn't scoot behind you as you're doing the movement! :)
