Way more people should be watching this

This makes so much sense and is probably the reason why many people with add also suffer from addiction. Low impulse control. Can’t wait to see what other insight u have.

This is important to know especially for children with ADHD. When I was young I was impulsive. My father made me feel like I had no will power which made me feel weak. I was also physically repramaded for "spare the rod spoil the child". As I got older I got into more trouble because it felt like I just couldn't help myself...and since I was weak it was easier for me to do things I said I would never do. When I tried to impose upon myself self discipline it made it worse because I would always give in which turned into depression...I gave up the will and desire to plan my future and at 14 I convinced I wouldn't live past 21. Then when 21 came I was completely lost. I had no plans no structure. Turned alcoholic which made the impulsiveness even worse. You name it cocaine, sex, porn anything I could do to feel better at the time..which was always fleeting. I'm 42 now and still have the thoughts "what's wrong with me? Why can't I just be like everyone else." I've completely secluded myself from my family since it always feels like I'm being judged for who I am. I'm completely burned out. I have zero energy..no motivation..and I can't find pleasure in anything. Still I'm trying to cover it up, that I'm struggling. Whats worse is I've apparently passed it down to my kids and it's really hard to watch them struggle. I'm supportive because I know what they are going through. And even though they get it..insight does not equal cure. Pay attention to your kids THIS SHIT IS REAL!!!!

Thank you. I like the strengths but understand now the weaknesses. I am 80. My son showed me how I am ADHD TWO YEARS AGO. YOUR shorts give me understand. Again thank you.

Oh my gosh! I was diagnosed adhd last year (age 51) and have struggled with will power forever. My biggest weakness is sugar in any form. I never thought about lack of will power being a product of low dopamine. New perspective! Thanks!

So many people talking about ADHD make you feel like it's all inevitable and you are in it's power. Thank you for going against that.

I was able to block most behaviors I didn’t want with brute force except shopping for craft supplies. Meds were a HUGE help with that one.

Strangely enough, I have found that micro-dosing thc helps quiet the little voice in my head that wants those treats and cuts the procrastination down immensely. 🤔

Thanks for sharing this. It's very helpful. Setting up barriers & getting rid of junk food at home is a good way to succeed. 😽

I got diagnosed recently (at the age of 43) and the thing you talk in here is something I had to implement in my life earlier just to get by. To not eat trash I stopped buying it - I still sometimes eat a whole bag of crisps at one go if the urge catches me in the grocery, but it happens way less frequent than before.
