Does anyone else have TOO many goals and interests? To the point where it’s debilitating?

The cold showers hurt me (I have circulatory issues) but the music tip is real real real. It's like it tricks my brain into focusing on what I have to do. Like a life soundtrack. It's great!

ADHD needs routine to stay on track. Routine quickly gets boating and makes ADHD wanna scream. 😮‍💨

Music saved my life since I was a teenager, and then weight lifting saved my life since 17. Natural, productive dopamine saved me from becoming scattered and aimless

On my weekends i use coffee and music to get me the mood to clean. And i constantly remind myself that any progress is good so as i go along i dont get as overwhelmed by the amount of little things and instead i feel motivated by the progress that im making.

I am surprised & shocked on so many levels.
Level 1 - it’s super accurate what you are telling without being diagnosed with ADHD.
Level 2 - the insane amount of people who are suffering under these conditions
Level 3 - the victim mentality around ADHD. As I read so often in comments, tons of people don’t wanna work on themselves, literally. BUT this is key for huge shifts. As I said without knowing it, I suffered from ADHD almost my entire life and I invested 10x more work into myself, built emotional intelligence & a strong mindset AND still experience bunch of these signs. BUT I feel so at peace with challenges in my life, that I welcome them and often sitting with 10 voices in silence to curate them.

Reminder to ALL of YOU: you are the creator of your life! This is not just a saying, it is TRUTH. If you hold onto the identity of a victim, so it will be what you experience. BUT if you are truly willing to quit victim mentality, it’s a repetitive decision you need to make again & again & again to strive. Learn how to let go of your survival strategies & free yourself from these conditions. It’s possible. All the love to you all ❤

Him: Social media and fast food get addictive.

Me: *instantly gets distracted by how good his food is and pauses video to ask where the food is from*

I took ADHD meds for 25 years. I was able to get off of them because set up my life to do what I'm interested in for a living. Still very ADHD, but when everyday is an exciting day things will get better.

You channel has helped me so much. I self medicated with meth for 17 yrs to the point of loosing absolutely everything. I'm now 5 yrs sober and didnt really even know that I had ADHD until finding your channel and realizing I have absolutely every single symptom you menton. I now exercise every day, eat healthy, and regularly get outside in nature. I'm so thankful the drugs didn't take me out completely. Your channel is really helping me to understand what's wrong with me and that I am not crazy.

For anyone out there with ADHD, a really simple and quick exercise to help stop the feeling of needing to move/fidget/do something else:
Close your eyes. Take a slow deep breath. Hold. Breathe out, slowly. Hold. Each step should take 4 seconds for 16 second cycles.
Repeat once or twice, and you should be calm and ready to focus/continue.

Thank you, beautiful soul. Dopamine chasing is real, and healthy sustainable habits are better than most spontaneous and potentially hazardous ways of acquiring that dopamine. 🙏💜✨️

I love how your videos just occasionally remind me that I'm fine. That I'm not the only one here facing those issues through the whole life, and it's just lack of dopamine begind them ❤

Tip for anybody who wants to see the benefits of cold exposure and fears cold showers: try putting cold water on your forearms during your morning routine. Immediate effect, short exposure and small area affected.

This is called conditioning of the mind . Spoken from someone who was diagnosed ADHD all my life starting at age 8.

If the cure for basically anything is “take cold showers and do lots of aerobic exercise” I will just suffer instead but thank you

I've literally become distrustful of myself when I have a good idea or want to start something that could make money because I'm scared ill give up and feel disappointed in myself . I've ended up refusing to allow myself to even start a new project. I just go do my nails to get my creative juices out but I really miss all the projects I used to do. I'm addicted to podcasts and feel like I can't do anything anymore. Sometimes I hate my brain. I hate having adhd.

For the cold showers you should go: hot-cold-hot you do not want to get used to the cold. You're trying to shiver because that causes adrenaline at first then when you get back into the warmth you get a boost of dopamine. It's the switching back and forth that makes it work.
