It's funny how you can hear something so many times, but until its said in just the right way, and at the right time, it fails to hit home.

Very true, I had this gambling issue -I did not know that I had ADHD back then. It was very entertaining but made me more depressed and guilty afterwards. God knows how many people struggle with this without knowing that it could be caused by neurotransmitters…

Something I'll do is dopamine juggling. Listening to music or an audio related thing like commentary, documentary, audiobook, or podcast is the first part, then doing something productive at the same time such as dishes, cleaning/organizing, exercise/stretching, etc. Doing the fun thing with the healthy thing.

…which has awarded me the power of decision, and therefore freedom.

That’s so on key.

I love the idea of journaling - tracking progress. I'm going to try it tonight as my big challenge time is after I get home from the job.

Please will you put all these brilliant insights into a book - preferably as bullet points like you speak rather than long sentences? 50 chapters - one or two pages per chapter? (And let all your subscribers know when it's published?). I'm happy to proof read it for free... Thanks! Revd BSA

I quit drinking, and allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted for a month, after 30 days I started setting up limits for my diet, next month I am going to the gym

One month at a time I get a healthy update.

You are my twin and a godsend. I even grew up studying German, in high school and college, because it seemed natural to me. I have just today started working on my youtube addiction and spent more time reading. I will continue with this effort.

I love what you have to share!
Another possible approach is using hyper focus and disconnect to your advantage. I prioritize health so what I consume is a hyper focus and food that has unhealthy ingredients are items I don't even view as food. It takes coming to a point of awareness. Like a drive for sex for dopamine with the true desire for love for dopamine... had to realize that was never not going to be a painful path so I linked the association between sex and emotional pain just so I could break the drive for dopamine via an unhealthy route. I am terribly addicted to these Shorts videos though😂😂

I have watched this video on repeat while eating a bowl of Reese's puffs with milk & little cookies that I put in it. The shake& guilt comes later I know. 💯
