Man, I have watched your videos and have recovered big time, thank you. I have had chronic plantar fasciitis for about 2 years, last 6 months doing exercises and recovery have helped me big time. Requires patience no doubt

I had very bad and very painful plantar fasciitis, which I have cured with a very simple technique: just stand up, raise the heels of the ground, and get up on the toes. Then go the other way, raise the toes with the heels on the ground. You don't have to go very high. Just lifting your heels or your toes a little bit off the ground is enough. Sometimes I lift high, sometimes I don't. Simply rolling back and forth on my feet like this for 30 seconds or a minute gives me instant relief. I do this a few times every day and ALWAYS when my plantar fasciitis hurts. After some weeks, it completely disappeared. It comes back from time to time - probably because I am a runner - then I simply do this exercise a few times, and then it goes away again.
English is not my first language, so I'm sorry if I didn't explain this method very well. But I still hope everyone understands the exercise.
I hope someone will give it a try. 😀

The one and only thing that helped me with this were calf raises! My physiotherapist had me doing weighted single leg calf raises with full range of motion (stretching the foot fully at the bottom and then coming up), the pain was gone within days. Physio is truly magic

Losing weight helped me a lot. No more pain in the mornings or from standing all day at work. Lost about 40lbs and it only Comes back the days after a long run. 10+miles

As an LMT in NY, I find that a lot of supposed "plantar fasciitis" situations in my clients is actually relieved by work in the calves (also, from personal experience). Poor footwear can cause imbalances in the calf muscles that add to the increased pain. So, aside from all of the great things mentioned in this video, having an experienced practitioner do myofascial work in your calves and/or doing fascia work on your own calves with a fascia tool (like a fascia blaster), or rolling in the calves, can also alleviate symptoms. Good Health all.

Stretching my toes under my foot like that is one of the best feeling to me. Especially on my right foot.

It's unfortunate that most women's shoes don't have adequate toe room. As someone width wide feet and an even wider toe box, which I consider to be quite normal, it's practically impossible to find shoes that fit. Women's shoes are awful. I've always wanted to start my own shoe company but I don't know how.

I wear Xero shoes most of my time outside of work. Recently went back to work and tossed on my military boots. Now I’m having plantar fasciitis symptoms for the first time in a long time

Good video. Many videos say stretch the foot but that feels like it causes more tearing. The ball helps lots

I have a iron ball the size of an orange, I heat it up and stand on it or roll it under my foot with body weight applied.

Another fantastic method I learned is to stretch the calves AND hamstring muscles to relieve pain. The tight calves and hamstrings can pull the plantar muscle thus putting it under tension, straining it, and exacerbating the pain.

Also, get out and walk barefoot in the grass. Go to a local park where they have a walking trail and walk barefoot along side it in the grass. Worked for me.

Barefoot shoes were my healer. I had such problems and started to use barefoot, after a while, something between 6-9 months, all problems were gone.

Okay okay, but I walked on my inner ankle as a kid. Have had inserts ever since… I don’t think it’s something that can be fixed just by a footwear change. Running without my inserts means guaranteed chin splints for me. Maybe I can switch up my daily foot wear for barefoot/wide toe boxed shoes? Keep the inserts for running until I gain more strength?

it sucks because my job requires me to wear cowboy boots which absolutely crush my feet and everytime i try to get new ones they size me DOWN saying "oh they'll break in!" (spoiler alert, they don't)
