WHAT IS PLANTAR FASCIITIS?
Your plantar fascia is a broad ligament on the bottom of your foot that starts at your heel and fans out to each of your toes. This area can be susceptible to injury depending on the stresses placed on it from standing, walking, running, footwear, etc.

When an injury occurs and inflammation/pain set in, we refer to this as plantar fasciitis (inflammation of the plantar fascia).

WHY DOES PLANTAR FASCIITIS HURT WORSE IN THE MORNING?
Your plantar fasciitis pain tends to hurt worse in the morning because the area of injury has “tightened up” through the night. When you initially put weight on the foot in the morning you are essentially “stretching” and “re-injuring” the area until you are accustomed to walking again.

HOW TO STOP MORNING PLANTAR FASCIA PAIN
The best way to eliminate plantar fasciitis pain in the morning is by “warming up” and “preparing” the tissue first. This is done through the right massage, stretching, and exercise techniques and also wearing footwear that better supports the ligament and your arch.

This is super helpful. I gained a lot of weight in a bad relationship, which 100% contributed to my plantar fascitis going from "Once in a blue moon" to "Almost daily". But until I can lose the weight, which takes time, I still need to manage the pain. Plus, when it's bad, then you don't wanna walk anywhere, making it harder to lose said weight.

THANK YOU!!!! I am a medical student in my final year and I have been suffering from this for weeks. I am on my feet 80% of my day walking around wards. This guy is amazing. I had a very bad pain at the back of my knee and all I did was follow his instructions for just a couple of days and I have a total relief. I now have a pain in my heel and I am going to follow his advice. I hope it gets fixed just the way my knee pain vanished. He knows what he’s talking!

I'm so glad I found your video. I was having this heel pain for a while now. All was doing was getting a bottle of ice and rolling it under my foot. Now that I have started doing these exercises I am feeling a bit of relief from the heel pain. Thank you so much.

I was just diagnosed with this. My ankle is swollen on the left side only, will this subside w/the prednisone. I’m an avid hiker and this is depressing. Going to try these exercises. Thank you

I was diagnosed with Plantarfaciitis years ago and it's never gone away. Now I'm in my 60's, lately I've had constant discomfort in both feet. Trying to get an appointment with a doctor in the UK can take weeks so I'll try your exercises and see how I go.
