In this video, we’re going to talk about how to get rid of plantar fasciitis fast.

Many treatments for plants fasciitis involve pain killers, steroids, orthotics, toxic injections, and serious procedures. However, I’m going to show you some effective home remedies.

Try these four ways to get rid of plantar fasciitis:

1. Stretch the opposite muscles
• Rate your pain from 0 to 10
• Sit with your foot crossed over your knee
• Grab your toes and stretch your foot downward (not upward!)
• Stretch and relax your foot 10 times
• Rate your pain again from 0 to 10

2. Avoid all pro-inflammatory foods
• Reduce refined sugar and carbs
• Eliminate junk food
• Avoid refined oils and omega-6 fatty acids (like vegetable oils in salad dressings)

3. Get more vitamin D3 (10,000 to 20,000IUs daily)

4. Do intermittent fasting (avoid frequent eating)

Give these tips a try, and let me know how they work for you in the comments below.

I had limping Plantar fasciitis pain for almost 15 years, started when I was thin in my 30s. My podiatrist did custom shoe inserts twice, recommended stretches 3 times daily, and as it got worse over the years he then offered anti-inflammatory pills, I didn't take the free sample & didn't get the recommended prescription. It got even worse over the next year, so bad I couldn't get up from the bed or chair without help from my family or crutches. My feet them always hurt, and I dreaded sitting bcz it would even hurt bad while resting. Felt the least painful while on my feet after the first few excruciating steps. I was almost ready to get the injections. He said if that didn't work then surgery was next. But after only 3 days off carbs, I no longer needed help to get up. After 3 weeks off carbs THE PAIN STOPPED COMPLETELY!!! No more limping!!!! It was the starches & sugars all along!!!! At first I was very excited to be cured, but then I got angry bcz the cure was so fast & easy & free, and my doctors didn't tell me. I could have been pain free YEARS ago!! Rrr. My podiatrist didn't even know my feet had gotten that bad bcz I didn't want him trying to get me to do the surgery. It's been almost 3 years no Plantar fasciitis pain in either foot. I used to also have very uncomfortable restless leg syndrome. That disappeared at the same time. A LOT of different kinds of pains & problems stopped or greatly reduced when I switched to mostly KETO & Intermittent Fasting. Bonus, by a year later I lost 60 lbs too & was back to my trim teen weight when I met my husband in 1989! Looked amazing for our first child's wedding in August 2020. The USDA Food Pyramid & doctor recommended eating frequency made me fat & gave me diabetes & many health problems. I think the primary care doctors are in on it with the hospitals to increase ER visits & surgery income, and Big Pharma $$ too.

Eight months of limping around, cortisone injections orthotics, walking boot, ice, stretching the wrong way, night brace even handicap parking pass. After your first stretch I went from a 9 to a 3. You are a God send. Thank you!

I did that exercise that you posted a couple years ago for my PF and I couldn’t bloody believe it…it was gone and I had it really bad. I’ve shown so many people the stretch with nothing but success and lo and behold they all now follow you. Absolute miracle in my eyes. I’m a woman that loves to dance so this saved my life. Genuine thanks once again Doc 👍🏾👍🏾

The ancient definition and role of a doctor was one who teaches with expert knowledge. This doctor does that. And this presentation goes beyond plantar fasciitis. Thank you!

I fixed mine with magnesium oil. Three weeks of spraying the soles of my feet and a many years long problem was gone forever.

I work every day on my feet, walking 15-20 miles. I'm only 32 years old but I constantly wake up at a pain level of 7, sometimes 8. Doing these stretches put my pain at a 2 after doing them just ten times. Thank you!! I will be doing them every day now.

UPDATE:

I've done this every day since this post and my pain is so low it's like I'm a whole different person. If I feel like I'm in pain I just do the stretches and bam, it's gone.

Having reversed my diabetes after 5 months keto diet, pure Russian style cool turkey of no sugar and carbs. However I was greeted with a mild pain in my heel like a pins and needle prick, on a scale of 10 my pain is low at 2 on a bad day. Thanks Dr Berg for putting some rationale on the causes, you are saving the British NHS money as I learn more from you than calling my over stretched GP for medical advice.

I watched your videos every morning to help remind me to stay on track with health eating. I was suffering with plantar fasciitis. The first step I took was to begin cutting out sugar as much as possible. My pain level was at an 8. It is now at a 1. I'm so relieved, however bc I was avoiding gluten I begin eating lots of corn tortillas and my pain came back. I didn't give up so I being watching more of your videos and continued to learn more Information about eating. I learned corn was a cause of inflammation.😮 That's when I stopped eating corn all together. I'm still learning more and more each day. Sometimes I will watch the same video two or three times a day bc I always seem to miss something. I was 158 and I'm now 148. I'm grateful that you take time to offer your knowledge to others. Bc of your dedication and effort to teach us. I can now make smarter eating choices not just for me but for my family. I'm very grateful for you. Please know that you're an inspiration to me. I have deep respect for you. Thank you so very much. I appreciate you Dr. 😊

I have had plantar fasciitis for more than a year, I tried night splint, strassburg socks, physiotherapy, stretching and what not.. let alone steroids and meds nothing worked, I couldn’t stand for 5 continues minutes or even cook myself a meal, or even go for a walk .. I was hopeless I thought I will never heal.. until a friend recommended water fasting, I did it for 3 days (the plan was a week but I just got extremely fatigued), it worked like magic! I can say 80% of the pain is gone.. I think it was bc of all junk and sugar I was consuming the inflammation never seemed to decrease.. wish you all healthy feet 🙏

I did the exercise you showed --- pushing toes inward... Helped me so much! I'm seeing a chiropractor and told him about you. He said many of his patients watch your videos. ❤️

I had plantar fasciitis for over 3 years and found no relief until I found out about trigger point therapy. I had trigger points in my calf muscles that were causing my plantar fasciitis. Within a week after starting trigger point therapy I was almost completely pain free. Also you must wear shoes that are wide enough for your toes to splay out. This makes a huge difference also!!!!

My pain didn't go away, but it is diminished. Stretches like these just make a hell of a lot more sense. Thank you.

I don’t usually bother to leave reviews but this is life changing! Had plantar fasciitis for about 8 months and it was driving me crazy! This exercise has instantly taken away the pain! So glad I didn’t waste even more money on therapists! Thank you so much Dr. Berg! ❤

It is October 31 2023, Dr. Berg I want to say thank you for this exercise. I work in law enforcement and have been having that same heel pain for at least 5 years or more. I recently returned home from a long shift and remembered and saved your video for later and let me tell you I did that stretch and I felt relief after 5 to 7 stretches. The pain was about 5 or 6 from and now it feels about 1. Thank you for this. I feel as if I can walk better.

This did provide me a measure of relief instantly… I’ve had PF on and off for over 10 years. It sounds common sense now that stretching it when it’s already torn and inflamed will make it worse. But there’s a few important things you’re missing in the video. One main cause of PF is incorrect footwear. The foot is supposed to pronate a certain amount but when your big toe is pushed inward due to narrow shoes, the fascia is strained. You’ve got to have flexible shoes with a wide toe box, and minimal heel. A large heel adds extra strain to your feet. Another useful treatment is the graston technique on your feet/calves/shins. If there’s scar tissue built up restricting movement, it won’t just go away on its own. I found greater instant relief from that than this stretch, but this stretch did help. Thank you for the video.
