I’ve never tasted a diet soda. Last coke was mid 80s.
Less than 12th grade weight.
60 100 yard sprints a day. 30 in morning, 30 in evening. 10, 000 steps and 4, 200 strides a day. Halfway to goal 10, 000 sprints by Nov 1st. Even getting abs. Age 69. No dr no meds. Livin’ to 100.

I myself have lost 55 lbs since February.
It's so annoying when people act so shocked at my weight loss.
I work in an office that specializes in potluck lunches and stress.
So I just got tired of being bloated, tired, and irritable.
I eat mostly plant based foods, and it's a journey, but it can be done.
Being consistent and true to yourself and prayer it can work.
I feel great, and now, with sticking with a plan like Annette's, it's even more doable.

I learned a long time ago, drink a glass of water before every meal, take one serving spoon of whatever was served. Wait 30 minutes to see if i was still hungry. I wasn't. Snacks have never been a problem. If I have a snack it replaces a meal.

Really true about addiction properties of chips and snack foods. Years ago my son and I sat down to eat some twisties. We keep eating and eating even though we were not still really enjoying them . Then we both felt sick. We both realised then how bad they were.

Eating real whole foods will satisfy your hunger and help you lose weight. Once you have enough of the real foods, it's easier to eliminate the junk from the diet.
I quit diet soda when I got very sick in a foreign country several years ago. I tried drinking a diet soda, and it made me sicker at the time. Before then, I had been addicted to it. Once I realized I could go a few days without diet soda, I figured I could go the rest of my life without it. To begin with, I used unsweetened sparkling water as a substitute. Now I use very little of the sparkling water in my regular water.
Eating correctly will also help alleviate inflammation that is behind many of the diseases we get. I follow anti-inflammatory diet principles, and they work for both arthritis inflammation flare-ups and weight loss.

Know if it’s ultra processed it’s going to over feed you, control you and worst of all be nutrient deficient. If it’s whole food that’s a huge rabbit hole but it’s going to be the best staring point. Goal is to eat a nutrient rich food once a week like organ meat.
