Wish I had seen this a year ago. Great video. I have lost 87 lbs in 14months. I did it by walking. First walk was 1/4mile. In a few months I was doing 3.2 miles in about 43min. I did this on average 4 times a week. After 3 months I joined a gym and started resistance training 3 times a week for 30min each session. 10-12 reps X 3 around 7 different exercises. I also started tracking my macros 30fat, 30carb, 40protein, I used a food tracking app for this. I don't track anything now, but I have continued eating the same way, going to the gym and doing the walks. I can now bend over and tie my shoes!

Thank you so much! I have almost exactly 100 pounds to lose. The last 20 I gained over the past year after I started studying, so I have put it all down to stress. Your explanation of what stress is, what causes it and how to combat it is the best explanation I have ever seen! Also your breakdown of how to exercise. I'm already on board with intermittent fasting, but could definitely do better.
I have been learning about all these things for a few years now, but nothing has brought it all in to one super easy-to-understand video like this before.

Mindset is #1. If a person is not happy, they're screwed without the kiss. Everything starts at getting happy and finding the why. Till you know Why, the How doesn't matter.

i know everyone hates this but the mindset factor is really important i know from experience

what helps me the most is a consistent monotonous schedule everyday, super predictable, so all i have to worry about is diet and exercise

I can tell you how it works out. You lose 40 lbs. Then your metabolism adapts to the lower calories and your hunger hormones kick in. Then you’re not fighting to lose the next 60 lbs, you’re fighting not to gain back the 40 lbs you lost. If you don’t become so frustrated from hitting a brick wall you will maintain the 40 lb weight loss. If it’s super frustrating then you give up altogether and gain back the weight plus more.

I use intermittent fasting and do NOT snack during the day. I’m struggling with weight loss now that I’m older and perimenopausal. I’m drinking tea over sodas and have decreased my zero soda intake by 80% which I’m proud of doing. I’m not where I want to be with my weight but I’m still feeling better with what I’ve decreased so far.

My goal is to loose 100lbs - approved by my doctor now I’m off all medications - PCOS and Cluster Migraines -

I’m nearly 3 weeks in and I am just under 13lbs down 😋
I’ve cut out all added sugar and most processed foods. Eating more protein and taking creatine to build muscle as I lose fat!

I’m not tracking macros or calories strictly - I’m just working out 1-2 hours a day, cardio is my new fav thing 😋
Oh and making sure I get 8-10k steps a day!

Tracking macros..etc..is not really sustainable. Better to use "The Healthy Plate Method"

I love this video - I have been doing all you say for 9 months. Lost 20 pounds. Pretty slow, but I do have a cheat day about once a week, maybe that's why. Maybe I need to walk more as well - I walk about 40 min a day. I will start using my pedometer again!
