How I REALLY Lost 100 Pounds - My Story

It's hard to describe but this is how I lost 100 pounds.
There wasn't a quick fix, it was a journey, lots of lessons learned. This is how I did it, all the things I changed to get to a healthier me.

2 years ago I started stating that I was going to be working on my health. I didn't know what that meant at the time beyond that I knew I needed to change. I wanted to learn and teach myself, find new ways and be open minded but also give myself room to fail.

I'm still working on it. Not just my weight, but my over health health. Mental health, physical health... its all tied together!

I was nervous about releasing this as its so different from my norm. But just like running was different for me, or yoga was different, you don't grow without experiencing something new so here we go!

I didn't finish the video yet, but i wanted to comment. I was expecting a weight loss video, but i was not expecting such sincere, thoughtfull and meaningfull video. As always your videos are not what they looks like and they surprise me everytime. It takes a lot of courage to be so real on camera. You are truly amazing person and very talented, can't wait to see where your future will bring. P.s. I am waiting for your next cookbook 😉

Here’s the cliff notes. He did yoga, running, intermittent fasting, push-ups, pull-ups, not eating out much, and food prepping.

I’m sitting here at the heaviest of my life, 306lbs, looking for inspiration. Seeing that weight on the scale made me more depressed than it did inspire me to lose it. I wanted to see videos of people working out and losing weight, not just talking. That’s why I never watch these kinds of videos. Yet this video had me hooked from start to finish. This was really helpful to my mindset. Thank you brother.

Orlando represent! I'm so happy for you! We went plant based when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. I dropped like 80 lbs, but recently I noticed I've started to put some weight back on. I need to make some changes.. Oh, I am now 3.5 years cancer free!

After my father passed, I didn't know I was grieving and I gain so much weight and felt so bad, I stopped looking at the scale. As a woman, I felt bad because people would call me by my weight as well like hey amazon, for example. It felt so bad, I isolated myself. I lost the weight but gained it back. I am so happy to hear your story. Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!

It is nice to see a man do some straight talk about weight gain and loss.

This is one of the most positive and inspiring weight loss stories I've ever heard, probably because it wasn't a weight loss story but rather a sober explanation of how you've gotten _healthy_ which has resulted in weight loss and other improvements. It sounds like you acknowledged that the things you've done in the past don't work or aren't adequate, and trusted yourself to find a new way. And it's all fallen into place to your benefit. Thanks for posting!

The proudest moment of my life, sorry kids, was the first time, at the age of 50, I did a 5K run without stopping. I cried for 5 minutes. So empowering! So I absolutely get how you feel. I follow WFPB vegan, but no oil. Also intermittent fasting of 18-6. People say I’m crazy but I finally feel in control of my health. So glad you found your happy body place.

This sort of broke my heart. I’m so happy to hear how well you’re doing and feeling, but I just want you to know that you were worthy of kindness as much at your heaviest as you are at your lightest. Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your journey, and thank you for continuing to make yourself vulnerable to negative comments on the internet for all of your followers who love and appreciate your content 💚🌱

Congrats on not only losing a HUGE amount of weight but really making change in your life to keep it off! This is a huge accomplishment, you should definitely be very proud of the work you've put in.

Wow, sobbing! As a "big guy" I've been struggling with my weight half of my life - 16 years. Ever since turning vegan, I gained and lost weight only at faster paces. Now, finally, I feel in a place where movement (swimming/running/biking), mindfullness (yoga), and cooking (the right portions and nutrition) I'm re-balancing myself. You sharing your story so openly is beautiful. And thank you for your honesty. And hat's of to your progress and proces. Enjoy!

If you are healthy and feel well, that's all that matters and I'm so glad for you, mate. Your videos have always lifted my spirit.

Wow....had no idea.
I'm sure it took alot for you to admit this - especially on a Food Channel - but I'm glad you did. It not just the weight loss you are demonstrating here - but the "true humaness" of the experience. You're a real person....and we like to see that. Its an unbelievable inspiration to many. Kudos! And Thank you~

People can be so mean and cruel. Wherever you are at with your weight journey, try not to absorb the comments of haters. Good job and thank you for all things you have shared on your channel.

It's crazy, because your story reminds me of myself almost exactly. I've lost a significant amount of weight at least 3 or 4 different times throughout my adulthood, but all it takes is a few months or even a year in a slump to get you right back to that problem area. When I'm firing on all cylinders, intermittent fasting, exercise and cleaner diet, life is always so much better. I always get inspired when I see my fellow big guys overcoming weight and health issues and living their best lives. Thank you for the video sir.
