I’ve lost over 70lbs+ and the amount of support people have given me after they seen the drop was incredibly powerful. I had clients who hadn’t seen me in months not recognize me because of the amount of weight I dropped! I can’t even explain what it meant to me to see people notice my hard work, even asking me what I was doing to lose the weight. The hard part, I believe, is the beginning of the journey but once you notice the amount of weight that you’re losing and people treating you differently is when you’ll get hooked.

Really solid advice...especially the start in silence. I have announced that I'm going to start "trying" to lose weight. Time to stop announcing it and just doing it!

Oh my gosh !! I stumbled on your channel today, and watched your orgain superfood review. Immediately subscribed. I walked away towards the end and the video…volume up … auto play went straight into this video .. I could hear your voice, but when I walked back to the screen, my jaw dropped ! You have done an incredible job and you look like an entirely new person. You are awesome ! Just thought I’d share!!

Great video. I am definitely in agreement of tip number 4. At the end of 2019, I fell off of the grid which included deactivating my social media. This is when I begun a self improvement journey after a painful breakup. I was almost 350 pounds and overburdened with devoting over 100 hours a week to two jobs and as a volunteer HS football coach. A year later, I was down to 270 but since then I have put back on 35 pounds. My new goal is to be 230 by my 40th birthday 13 months from now. This time, I want to keep it all off.

As someone who was pushing 400 and has been under 200 for a couple years now, there's only one major issue I see here:

Tips 2 & 5 can make for a dangerous combation or at least a slippery slope which could end up sabotaging an individual's start of their weightloss. Particularly for the overweight, studies show that humans on the whole are incredibly ineffective at recollecting what it is that they ate in a 24 hour period when asked at the end of the day. Unless you keep some kind of food journal/log, the odds that you're going to be particularly adept at being mindful of your food intake when you already know you have an overeating problem is basically 0. If you compound that with the mentality of "only eat once a day and then fast the rest of the time, " what kind of meals do you think the average morbidly obese person is going to eat? Almost no one is going to be able to start intermittent fasting on day one, and many times people are overweight because they live a lifestyle that allows them constant easy access to shit food.

I have little doubt when you say that, for you personally, counting calories caused you to stress out to the point that you self-sabotaged, but I do think that you are an exception to the rule. One of the best things *any* overweight person could do is to keep track of exactly what it is they ingest and how much, so that they can get proper perspective on the reality of just how much it is they are really eating.

I admire you & dislike you at the same time LOL! I’m just kidding of course, I’m thankful you share your journey. It feels honest & doesn’t involve gimmicks! I’m one of those folks that likes to say - I’ll start tomorrow, ok maybe on Monday, and well never really start. I’m taking your advice & writing this as I turn on my treadmill to walk SLOWLY :). You look great & healthy. Much love & continued success to you!

Hey everyone,
Been trying to get back into my fitness again. At my highest I was 388 now I’m currently at 362, seems like I’ve been sitting around this weight for a bit. I understand it’s really because I snack a lot throughout the day, I’ve started working on making the healthy snack choices instead of grabbing chips. Also working a sedentary job so I’ve been waking up at 5am and getting my steps in. This way I can spend the afternoon with my SO.

Appreciate the courage and motivation from the video.
