"I'm not a cyclops, but I'm heading there"

I absolutely love this man. He's splendidly knowledgeable and has great articulation which gives him such a respectable aura, yet he's so comfortably silly at times, he's such a bro. Love the dude.

Wow! Years ago when I worked in a factory I found that I was unable to focus on objects a long way away. My optometrist back then told me to do this exercise but in the reverse- every hour you need to look up, away from your close at hand task, and try to focus your eyes on a target as far away as possible. He said that when you work in environments that force you to focus on something close by for long periods of time it can actually make your eyes lazy for long distance...
And this was before the internet...

"Magic eye" 3d pictures viewing employs this technique of relaxation and focusing.

My eye doc asked me to find some exercises online and I've been putting it off. Thank you!

I started doing this in the 8th grade when I was first told I needed reading glasses at 13 years of age. I am 36 now and I have 20/10 vision. Everyone in my family wears glasses except me.

I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I’m 52 and still don’t need reading glasses. My eyes are changing tho, so I do this exercise even more.

Such good advice. Not surprised Andrew gives such concise and perfect explanation.
Eyes matter a lot. Hard to make the book to take care of eyes in a premeditated way. But this is an something to start with. Thank you A.H.

When I used to wear glasses I had to take them off in order to focus on something close to my face. After laser eye surgery it's like the glasses are imbedded in my eyes. I can't focus on objects that near to my face anymore

Good advice, do the same thing but use a variety of light intensity and colour and you’ll improve your colour range.
