At the age of 13, puberty and astounding insight into the human brain taught me that one of the most potent forms of communication is the middle finger.; it almost guarantees an emotional response.

This definitely makes me wonder as my mom was very premature (7 weeks) in the early 1950s. She went on to develop early onset Alzheimer's though she'd had normal development and cognition. She couldnt have had the adrenogenic exposure she would have needed. My biggest takeaway though is not what her hands looked like, because I never checked. I just remember how loving they were in all she did ❤

As a female I’ve known for decades about the finger ratio & I have the longer ring finger & yes I’m a problem solver and rational but I’m also left handed and very creative- I’m an artist & a writer in fact my whole life is a canvas- so I’m not sure where I fit in all this I guess at 70 with a prognosis of less than a year left it doesn’t really matter! Cheers everyone 👍👍

For those of you who are impatient go to time 5:04 to see what it may possibly mean to have a ring finger longer than the index finger, etc. .. I will suggest that you make time to watch the whole video; it's very interesting.

Biological anthropologist here, and student of human skeletal anatomy for the last 40+ years... The length of your fingers relative to one another is variable depending on how you hold your hand, and which side of the hand is facing you. It is easy to control that by moving your fingers just a little bit to one side or the other. Just like the memes I have seen about the shape of your toes on your feet (which only tells you how likely you are to stub your second toe on the furniture), individual variation in finger length is subject to many factors: genetic, environmental, and postural, and it means NOTHING in terms of personality or character. If you want to be one of those folks who, in past generations lined up eagerly to buy snake oil, or radium-laced potions, to cure "what ails you, " that's fine - but this is, simply put, glitzy gobbledygoop with no scientific validity whatsoever. Enjoy!

In my case, early writing leading to advanced reading was true. My mom had me at a desk writing the alphabet everyday YEARS before I was old enough for pre-school. I was maybe 2, oldest 3 and I had a little plastic playskool desk that was maybe 1 foot off of the ground with a chair to match. By the time I was in the 5th grade I was consistently testing at a junior to senior high school reading comprehension level. They tested us monthly at the school I attended. I went through reading books like most kids my age read magazines and I was one of two kids at the entire school to have that advanced of a reading level. It was a competitive grade school academy.

Having a long middle finger means you are born to flip the bird at authority.

Synopsis: Higher testosterone means the index finger will be shorter, higher female androgen exposure results in the ring finger being longer, and a higher 2d4d ratio shows more vulnerability to developing alzheimers, but lower 2d4d (not to be confused with difference in finger lengths) from higher androgen levels, preserved cognition. Longer ring finger = problem solving, longer index = solitary, goal forming, maybe more introverted. Equal length = diplomatic.

It was also discovered that if your middle finger ratio to your index and ring fingers is higher than average you can really flip people off clearly even at longer distances!

Simplism equals more accessibility of information for acknowledgement. 'So this is it, ' and many readers may even want to perceive it as a fact, which is why a Google search on this topic already yields rich and affirmative links. However, there are numerous assumptions that eventually turn into mistakes. I'm not saying that this idea is wrong, but sometimes these are mere suggestions, even when they are labeled as 'Science' for quality. I mentioned simplism because real science considers multiple factors. In this case specifically, androgen receptor sensitivity would certainly be variable to consider. Still, another problem is the potential error of testosterone crossing the placenta. Just read about it, there is no consensus. It seems that testosterone does not cross it in significant amounts, and it is possible that there is only very discreet diffusion (due to most testosterone being bound to SHBG). Okay, this idea is being propagated mainly to capture readers' attention as much as possible, and I've been writing a lot about this, but this idea is really questionable and fragile, it seems to be more clickbait than science

Remarkable person reading this.. It’s going to get better; all it is a season of opportunity to grow and be better than before. Challenging times are meant to strengthen us, not to break us. Success doesn’t define to what happened to us; it is how we choose to deal with our circumstances. The more you grow and develop as an incredible person as you are, the more things will change for the better. Forgive more (for you), be grateful for even the smallest things (we have it way better than someone else), choose love over ego, choose humility over ego (humility is strength), and finally, invest into new skills so that your future self will thank you. Our lives will change forever the more we grow. Be thankful for the challenges for we know something greater is coming. Love you always - Nathalie ✨❤️

I am 62 years old. I went to Catholic school first and second grade and the nuns me change from left hand to right hand. At the age of 40 when my writing got so bad, I had to switch to my left hand. My brand changed. I had difficulty with math using my right hand and since I switched to my left hand has gotten easier. So there is something to the hand and finger theory. I find it intriguing.

My middle finger is the longest. I find that to be very helpful while driving.

And to think, we are losing our handwriting due to texting or tapping screens. Cursive is pretty much dead here in the U.S.
