30 Minute Yoga Nidra to Stimulate the Vagus Nerve and Calm the Nervous System

Welcome to your yoga nidra practice with Kristyn Rose. This is a short 30 minute effortless guided meditative experience that utilizes systematic relaxation techniques that stimulate the vagus nerve to bring you into a deeply relaxed state. A healthy vagal tone is an essential part of plays an important role in regulating the bodys response to stress, and so if you have arrived here from a busy day, or with a nagging sleep deficit, or perhaps the world just feels like it’s spinning a little bit too fast, rest into the knowing that there is nothing that you need to do for this experience aims to help you improve vagal tone and return to that resting place of mental calm and clarity.

You might think of this practice like a gentle yet deep tissue massage for the whole nervous system. Using breathing techniques, visualization, and mindful awareness to restore healthy vagal tone, resting into the knowing that yoga nidra is a completely effortless practice accessible to all. And the more you engage the vagus nerve, the easier it becomes to achieve a calm and relaxed state of being. Find a comfortable place to rest on the back of the body, either on your yoga mat, the couch or even in your bed. Close down the eyes and rest back into the experience of just listening.

An autumn storm, heavy rain on the tin roof and the most lovely yoga nidra session. This one took me deep deep into relaxation and made me feel the glow and warmth of every part of my body. Exquisite. 💎

Namaste! I practiced at 11 P.M. on Oct. 19. 2023. That was so wonderfully relaxing. I was visualizing the warm healing nectar extending everywhere, and the golden orb of light intensifying i brightness. I wish I had included SoHum or HamSa as it traveled up and down my spine. I would have completely melted and fallen asleep, lol. The sound of the crackling fire worked great during the inner silence phase as I just allowed it to dissolve in the far background. Thank you, Kristyn! I feel so replenished now.

Thank you Kristyn. I practiced this Nidra this morning when I awoke a 430, and had another half hour before I had to get up, and then again at 1130am on my lunch break before returning to work. What a beautiful reset. 🙏💕✨️
