Joe Arridy's case is sadder when you learn that the warden who was taking care of him brought him toys during his stay in prison, begged the governor to not execute him, held his hand when he got scared while being blindfolded and even cried during his execution.

That Joe Arridy one kinda broke my heart, reminds me of when I was a kid and wanted ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Okay, but "Too fat to be executed" is still the funniest goddamned thing I've ever heard.

All the 'healthy' last meals make me laugh. Like, there's no possible better time to eat junk food than your last meal, you're not calorie counting at this point.

I can only imagine what the staff at the local supermarket think every time they see Josh walking into the store. "Here he comes again, which one is he doing today? Lobster? Fried chicken? Steak? Ice-cream? Oh probably that guy, I remember his trial..."

I love educational entertainment like this. It's so cool being able to learn about all these crazy crime stories in a funny way.

The inventor of the crips tried to make good before he died, he did and had spread the word about how bad gang life is, while he may still be a bad person, he was one of the few death row inmates that tried to turn himself into a good person and did so.

I think a reoccuring theme here is that a lot of people dont want a massive indulgent spread. they want comfort food. something homely.

The combination of his photo with the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger (7 times Mr. Olympia and 4 times Mr. Universe winner) refused him clemency is just so funny to me.
