A Warm Up For The Weekend - North Carolina Meteorologist Les Still

12-7 Noon Weather. The coldest temperatures of the week occur today with lows in the 20s this morning only leading to highs in the low 50s this afternoon. But after another cold morning to start Friday, we'll get temperatures above normal for the weekend.

That warm surge will be ahead of a strong cold front that will cross late Sunday. Expect rain, heavy at times Sunday afternoon with the possibility of a gusty thunderstorm.

The pattern repeats itself to start next week with a cold shot on the front side of a high pressure over the deep south to start the week.
