I did a diet similar 1200 calories for 3 months lost all the weight 80 pounds and then slowly went up in calories about 50 calories a week until I got to my maintenance calorie intake this took me a little while. It’s been 5 years later I’m fitter than ever. I don’t recommend it though, I’m just impatient af, I just wanted the weight off. But I’m glad I did it catapulted me into the health and fitness lifestyle

I always appreciate these low calorie meal examples because as a short girl, even with working out, my maintenance is around 1300 kcals. lol

A lot of people saying lean meat is dry. But it is better in both taste and quality. What I do is I blend half an onion a tomato and some peppers, then add that to the meat so that it absorbs the flavors. Tastes amazing and solves the dryness problems without having to compromise and go to a higher fat content.

I didnt realize how TRULY little protein I consumed until videos like this. Half of it was fat, additives and breading. I was (and still am) so ignorant but since making the switch the true protein sources, I've seen such a difference.

Yo this is sick. Love it. Tip that may help: if you are trying to get in fats - opt for a fattier ground beef. Though there’s more calories - the fat quality is much higher than that of shredded cheese. Go get it brother.

Just a tip, though it may add about 150 calories - if you make picadillo it may taste better. Use one potato, soften, add like maybe half a cup or quarter cup or either corn or mixed veggies for some variety, and the full pound of ground beef. Season with paprika, light salt, light pepper, maybe hit it with some lemon or Sriracha on top. 10/10.

This is a good example that everyone has different caloric intake needs. I'm an 88lbs female and 1, 200cals a day for me is maintenance.

You could have eaten 2 pounds of chicken breast, 3 bags of broccoli and a tub of fat free cottage cheese. Totally sustainable and you would've probably had to force some of it down. Under 1200 calories.
