I used to be calvinist until I realize most of their proof texts are out of context and full of presupositions

The idea that regeneration precedes faith is not a doctrine born of Calvin, but of Jesus.

John 3:3, 5 - “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

According to Jesus, regeneration (being born again) is a prerequisite, necessary condition that must precede seeing and entering into the kingdom of God; we enter the kingdom of God through faith, therefore regeneration must precede faith, although the two often seem to occur simultaneously.

John 1:12-13 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Those who came to believe in Him were first born not of the will of man, but of God (this is regeneration). In order to come to faith, God must first give us a new heart; regeneration grounds our faith so that we come to believe. He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-6). People do not choose Christ before they are regenerate, as if they are acting in accordance to a grace of God to respond to a “wooing” and “attracting” of God the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit is not yet even in them. People who are not yet born again cannot see nor choose the King of the Kingdom of God because they do not have the ability to do so (Romans 8:7).

Those who subscribe to the Arminian system have people who are not yet born again, seeing and choosing the kingdom of God, and Jesus says that this is impossible.

Regeneration precedes Faith:
Ephesians 2:5 - …even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)…
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Faith is the gift of God that is the result of the Spirit’s work of regeneration within us. God Himself supplies the necessary condition to come to Jesus.

John 6:28-29 - Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

Clearly, belief in Jesus is a work of God alone.

Chapter 2 of Ephesians rebukes you 👉
“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬
👆 Dead man don’t believe, they don’t grab and they do nothing but stink. What happens then ? 👉
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬
☝️ God makes dead sinners alive by Grace (unmerited favor). Where does the sinner do anything but sin here? By nature children of wrath until God sovereignly saves them.
You don’t understand the Bible is problem here. Just read this👉
“though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.” What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God’s part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:11-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬
☝️ You are saying man can save himself by believing and God is saying that He elects and saved whom He mercy. Not by the will of man but God alone. You are in serious error. You need to stop making videos and start studying your Bible more. You don’t understand.

The unbiblical belief that 'Regeneration preceeds faith", brings forth a bizzare conclusion about what 'Pleases God'.
The hypothetical question proposed by many Calvinists, such as John Piper, "Why did you believe when others didn't were you smarter, wiser then they?", brings to revelation their erroroneous view of the order of Salvation.

Asking WHY one believes & demanding the 'right' answer, presupposes the CAUSE of belief as the qualifier to receiving salvation, instead of BELIEF itself.

The Scriptures declare, "faith is pleasing to God", not, "God as the primary cause of faith, is pleasing to God".

Calvinism demands the CAUSE of your faith, be a qualifier for eternal life, not your faith alone, thus their doctrine of 'Irresistible Grace'.

Logically, Salvation within Calvinism is attained NOT because of faith, but because of the CAUSE of their faith, that being their doctrine of Irresisitible Grace.

This is why Calvinists reject non-calvinist Christians who DO have faith in Jesus Christ. Calvinists declare these Christians as not having 'Salvific Faith', because the CAUSE of their faith is not their doctrine of 'Irresistible Grace', but rather themselves exercising their belief & faith in Jesus Christ.

"What must I do to be saved? There's nothing you can do, you're dead. God must be the Primary Causal agent of faith, and make you willing to believe, for you to be saved", is the only logical conclusion.

“Though they are dead in sins they have faith, because that’s what the Word of God says.” Where?

I was regenerate before I was justified. I did not have the desire for salvation until God began to draw me. To suggest that you can be justified before being regenerate is blasphemy. No one chases after God. No not one.

That's only showing you that faith is an element in the work of salvation. Chapter 2:8-9 faith is a gift. "... and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God. the antecedent to the word "that" is faith, grace, salvation, because their femanint in gender. and the word "that" is neuter. what this means is that it takes the first part of verse 8 saved, grace, and faith, are gifts of God. and being that they are. we have to be quickened, or rather made alive this is regeneration. v.5.

" Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, ( by grace ye are saved."

Hello Sir, I just want to point out that you read John 1:12 correctly the first time you spoke it. The second time you said it you changed it to “to those who believED. That is not what it says. Adding the past tense reads into the text your presupposed stand.

I’m not convinced that Regeneration precedes Faith, but I also think that if you are going to call out others about being very particular about the scripture, you should be above reproach with the way that you do.

well sir you got that wrong, and you didn't finish the context, they received Him after he gave them the authority to become the sons of God. also the last clause in verse 12 even to them that believe on His name is Hebrew parallelism those who received Him in verse 12 are the same who believe on His name. v. 13 so that we won't misunderstand it. in v.13 John the Apostle says:. " which were born not of blood, not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

If I ever live long enough to find a critique of Calvinism that is honest and accurately represents what Calvinists actually believe I think I'll die from shock!
You sir have done a splendid job attacking the straw man that you worked so hard to construct. Good luck finding a Calvinist who believes that it's possible to be born again but not justified. Try again.

Question: How you explain Luke 1:15 were we are told that John the Baptist was filled with Holy Spirit from his mother's womb.

Before Christ our faith is tainted there is no way around that Jer. 17:9, no human righteousness is acceptable before GOD Isa. 64:6; also "...no man can come to Christ except the Father draw him John. 6:44, 65 : these scriptures are clear . what's the problem ? God has given us the behind scenes. we are dead in sins and trespasses. we have to be made alive, quickened, that quickening is regeneration, you can't with a human tainted faith believe through the bondage of sin . plus faith is volitional, we have to place our faith in something, or someone. and it is not of the man that willeth nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:16; Don't try to run on human ingenuity, you will only be dealt with by God, here and now or at the judgement seat. read Romans 9:

If your dead you can do nothing, regeneration must be given that we can place our faith in him, GOD. even in that it says in Ezk. 36:25-27 that God gives us a new spirit and takes the Stony heart out, and then give us the Holy Spirit and causes us to walk in his ways. you should be greatful, because we had no hope in this world nor the next. people are trying to protect and defend God with there humanistic defense . In the O.T. God sent his people out to take the promise land and to kill armies, ask yourself the ❓ why ? ans. because the wages of sin is death. and there is a place in the Bible that God says .you thought I was like you. Ps. 25:9-10 says : "All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies." in others word the meek man accept everything God says and does without murmuring or complaining .

Well that was bad. 👉
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.””
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63, 65‬ ‭ESV‬‬
☝️ Jesus says the flesh is useless but here you are saying that the flesh can bring life. You are not fighting “Calvinist”, you are fighting Jesus Christ. Natural men can not please God without the Spirit. 👉“Those who are in the flesh 👉cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:8-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

And you Took John 1 out of context👉
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh 👉nor of the will of man, 👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉👉but of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Theres whats called the ordo salutis in Scripture and in the reformed tradition and yes, you have regeneration preceding faith. The power of faith, the power of believing is a result, not an act of our will independently. Its the act of God changing our hearts and giving us the gift of faith. In order to come to faith God has to give us a new regenerate heart. Those who came to believe in him were not born of the flesh or the will of man but born of God.

Question, when someone humbles themselves and believes on Christ is that by grace alone?

With so many teachings. It often times difficult to know the truth. The only way is to pray and ask God to open your eyes to it. When God shows you the truth nobody will be able to convince you otherwise!

"Struck by lightening, zap" ?? This is you poo pooing the work of God. So what your saying is Paul really meant to say that the natural man CAN receive the things of the spirit, instead of he cannot, Jesus really said ANY MAN CAN come to me without my father drawing him. Gal 5:22 really says that the fruit of faith is the spirit, not the fruit of the spirit is faith right? You should consider the words actually said instead of your free will presuppositions.
