Yes you can get into a fat burning heart rate zone, sweat, strengthen & burn ample calories with power yoga and power vinyasa yoga flows, but if you want to lose weight and practice yoga you must accompany the practice with self-care and healthy habits off the mat. Yoga can be a wonderful practice for de-stressing, connecting mind with body, improving body awareness & learning to love yourself. And guess what? You can love yourself and be a work in progress at the same time! The term "Yoga for weight loss" is a high ranking SEO term, as in it is searched a lot. I use the term to reach a wider audience to help people who are looking for a way to lose excess weight and practice yoga at the same time. I know from personal experience how that feels, as I have lost 40 & 50 lbs from both of my pregnancies and the weight didn't just melt off after. It took at least a year of focused effort, exercise, healthy eating, a mild calorie deficit and this exact type of yoga for me to lose the weight and feel strong and confident in my body. So I created these videos to meet the viewers where they are, help them along in their weight loss journey and hopefully teach them self-love, strength & mindfulness along the way. 💙

Saw the email this morning about this routine and put my son in his pack and play and did it in front of him. It was so nice to stretch out and my son enjoyed watching me! Thank you - 15 minutes does make a huge difference!!

Hi Sarah Beth! I did this routine last week for the first time and LOVED IT!!! My back chronically hurts, and I the mom to two active big but young boys. I described this routine to my husband as making my back feel like a glow stick! Here is what I mean....one, its cracks like a glow stick does with you activate it and I feel like I'm getting all aligned with the twists and bends. Oh it feels so good. Two, afterward I feel bright and alive!!! Thank you for this. I've done it daily and memorized it so I can even do it right before bed. It brings circulation to my back and relieves me of my pain so much!

Started off not able to complete this routine without collapsing with trembling knees and hands halfway....but after a few months of practice with your other simpler videos, I can finally complete this one with relative ease ! It was such a delight to wake up this morning to find an email from Sarah Beth recommending this morning routine. I'm a mom of 2 young kids in school so morning yoga has never been something I thought would work for me. But, after feeling inspired by Sarah Beth's morning message, I jumped out of bed and hit my mat! This 15 minute morning routine definitely woke me up, body and mind. Great routine to start the day! Been 4 days doing this.. sweaty enough for me. Lockdown made my weight gain so much.. corona don’t seems like will go away soon, so be in a good shape at home is also okay!

I really enjoy this as a newbe but have to say when it went to words instead of showing the poses, I am not familiar enough to continue to follow. I kept moving but was frustrated that I couldn't keep going with the poses.

If I weren't already familiar with your 10 minute Mindful Morning routine I would have loved this. This is good, but your other one is so perfect that I return to it again and again on mornings when I don't have time for a longer practice. The flow isn't very different, so perhaps it's the music. Thanks so much for all the videos!

I don’t know whether this provides weight loss, but oh, the wonderful stretch in that first sequence!

And I also don’t know how I didn’t discover this video until today. I first started doing your programs during lockdown in summer 2020, especially when I was by necessity traveling and sometimes had to stay in an apartment in very strict quarantine for two weeks at a time, so exercise was challenging. They have been wonderful for me and I still exercise with you very often, alternating with a pilates channel and Nina Dapper’s channel. That seems to be an effective mix for me. Thank you so much.

I really enjoy doing this yoga routine. It’s relaxing to do these poses and it feels amazing to stretch like this. I think this is my favorite morning routine. I need to do this every morning in order to feel better throughout the day.
