Right on Jordan! In PROPER CONTEXT 👍 Keep'em coming brother!

Paul unquestionably rejects "faith" as a "work" in Romans 4.

Every push by Calvinists to teach the opposite is based on erroneous interpretations of the Word of God.

Calvinism always fails because there cannot be Calvin without Hobbs!

Amen! Exactly! Basic logic: Faith is not included in the set of "works".

Exactly Jordan. God gives the measure of faith. We are beseeched & implored over & over to come to Him in faith. Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. Calvinists believe some are randomly irresistibly regenerated/born again, then infused with faith to believe in Jesus as Savior. Yet the Hebrews 11 inductees are commended for showing, displaying, living out their faith in God. I guess a Calvy goes around thinking "I hope God makes me use my talent & not burry it, if I do anything it will be a work of the flesh & I will rob God of glory. Hopefully, a breeze will open my bible to the book & chapter I'm supposed to read today...if I do it, otherwise I will be helping to sanctify myself & rob God of glory". It would be funny, if it weren't such a tragic doctrine causing many to go through deconstructionism.

Faith is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works so no one can BOAST"

you might even say that our faith is a work of God
John 6:29
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Very god brother.
Scripture alone destroys calvinism. All it takes is for someone to call attention to what the texts actually say in context to scripture, instead of in context to the blasphemous writings of calvin .
The bible is so very different than the writings of calvin .

Ephesians 2:8-10 ( For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Calvinist just are not getting it they continue to call faith a salvation meriting work even when Paul says it's the opposite
They simply can't see it because it destroys their presumptions

Salvation only comes through working in synergy with God. Salvation is a lifelong process and it is not easy.

May we not be deceived by heresies like Sola Fide.

Churches with Calvinist Reformed preaching are filled with people that were Saved by free Grace, And know that Jesus is their Lord and Savior. You twist the truth.

CHAPTER 18.
THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF WORKS IMPROPERLY INFERRED FROM REWARDS.
10. Last objection—viz. that faith itself is called a work. Answer—it is not as a work that faith length, after they have wearied themselves with perverting Scripture, they have recourse to subtleties and sophisms. One cavil is, that faith is somewhere called a work (John 6:29); hence they infer that we are in error in opposing faith to works; as if faith, regarded as obedience to the divine will, could by its own merit procure our justification, and did not rather, by embracing the mercy of God, thereby seal upon our hearts the righteousness of Christ, which is offered to us in the preaching of the gospel. My readers will pardon me if I stay not to dispose of such absurdities; their own weakness, without external assault, is sufficient to destroy them.

That sounds very much like on of the most popular passages, Ephesians 2:8, 9. How can faith be considered a.work when they are clearly contrasted?

Why are there so many videos about Calvinism? Do you talk about Molinism?

Once you've tried to correct them Calvinists should be treated as pagans and tax collectors (Mathew 18). That is if someone considers preaching a different gospel a sin.. which I do. Keep in mind they are cursed from God for doing it. It is the only sin that is cursed by God himself.

Calvinists are half right - faith is a work - but it is the work of God, not of men:
John 6:28-29 NASB95
Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so *_that we may work the works of God?"_*

[29] Jesus answered and said to them, *_"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."_*

The LAW of faith.

Would faith be a work if you think it's your faith that actually saves you?

Vs.

Faith not as a work= It is the Object of the Faith that actually saves you not faith in your faith.

Is there a difference? I think so. Thoughts?

Faith is definitely “a work” as Jesus clearly says it is in John 6:29. He says:

Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

The “law of works” requires that we actually meet the standard God has set for men and keep the entire law. Only Christ did that. The “law of faith” requires us to believe that Christ did it and to trust in Him. We still “do something”. We still believe. We still trust. We do not trust in our own works but in God who saves sinners. We admit we are those sinners and that He has saved us and is “saving” us by completing the work and confirming us to Christ.

The non-Calvinist attempt to reduce faith to a “no-work” or diminish faith is a modern evangelical invention. It is something that can only be done where “faith” is relatively easy. Anyone who is aware of places where faith gets you killed, is persecuted, causes the person to be ostracized… knows they faith is an incredible act of the will to believe in spite of the danger. It is a profound work. As Luther said:

“The first and highest, the most precious of all good works is faith in Christ, as He says, John vi. When the Jews asked Him: "What shall we do that we may work the works of God?" He answered: "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He hath sent." When we hear or preach this word, we hasten over it and deem it a very little thing and easy to do, whereas we ought here to pause a long time and to ponder it well. For in this work all good works must be done and receive from it the inflow of their goodness, like a loan. This we must put bluntly, that men may understand it.”
