Would quote Romans 13 about Church leaders bearing the sword.. he then later admitted to me that he used to hope people would fall so he would be right.. that was after I confessed a struggle that I was going thru.. I knew just from reading the word he was wrong about Romans 13...

I think miracles work, in large part, by completely quieting our minds except for complete trust - which, naturally speaking, leaves us completely vulnerable UNLESS the Lord supernaturally provides.

Not splitting hairs, this is the big divide between Calvinism and all spirit believing mystery of redemption by grace faiths.
Example, the anabaptists eschew infant baptism.

Calvinism is biblical christianity. Only God makes a sinner dead in trespasses and sins alive in Christ. Only God makes a sinner born again. Only God makes a person a new creation. Calvinism gives God glory from beginning to end. God is the author of salvation not man. God is the author of faith not man. God grants repentance and faith as a gift. No man seeks after God. The only thing we contribute to salvation is the sin that makes it necessary. Anti-calvinism is works religion that takes credit for faith.

Its not putting God in a box. That was lame. You don't even know what that means. So let's simplify this. Two of my favorite points about Calvinism is Solo Scriptura and Solo Fidelia, that means scripure only (no adding to the Bible including "God told me" and making tradition equal or greater than scripture. Then scripthure is error free. The Bible says about itself that it's error free. Just these two, as part of Calvinsm - any issues.
