I would also add 'confusion'. A confused mind will do nothing. Too many sales people confuse their prospects with complicated product features or a poorly presented propositions. Keep it simple and focus on the benefits and business outcomes.

Due to covid I picked up this simple sales job of which I knew nothing of. Still closed three sales in the first month at 3K and 5K. My manager told me things but I ignored and delivered personalised pitches. It is key to believe in the product that you wish to sell and of the prospect's. I wanted reassure I was doing the right thing not listening to my manager and come her to seek guidance. I was right. Thank you for reassuring my trust in myself.

Dan great topic to talk about today. You know whats funny is we are all in sales every day of our lives. Esp when we are talking to people, to get someone to stop and listen to you is an art and esp if they talk back about the subject with you. The reason is people are in such a hurry today and unless its something they want to talk about they will usually brush people off when they say something and keep going. So if people want to know when is a great time to practice todays topic, i'd say all the time and every chance you get so you can see how people react and also how you react back to hone your skills. Great lecture, Cheers.

But asking good questions as a salesperson is a key part of our job because through that we can discover the customers true wants and needs. If we know our product well enough, and our service fulfills the prospects needs, it's easier to get a yes.
