I have bipolar disorder and I've also noticed a huge difference on a keto diet

You are what you eat. I used to think people were crazy for fasting but I'm a believer now.

Keto has reduced my ADHD symptoms by about 95%. Meanwhile my PMS is 100% gone. I’m getting restful sleep for the first time in my life and just feel…happy. The first few weeks were hard for me but then it got really easy.

I’ve been keto now for almost 7 years. I adopted this way of eating back in 2017 to reverse type 2 diabetes. Not only did it reverse my diabetes but also non alcoholic fatty liver disease, stage three kidney disease, high cholesterol and more importantly dangerously high triglycerides. It also reversed diabetic neuropathy in my lower legs and feet but that’s not all. It also got rid of painful arthritis and fibromyalgia too. My moods and my energy levels have also improved beyond my wildest dreams. Lifelong heartburn and acid reflux has also disappeared. The list just goes on and on. I’m now over 6 years free of diabetes and free from diabetic medications too. And I know that I’m not alone. Many people around the world are adopting the ketogenic way of eating to reverse diabetes and are getting the very same brilliant results. I have absolutely no worries whatsoever about cholesterol. In fact my most recent blood test results showed that everything was great. My old diabetic nurse told me that I’m not even anywhere near pre diabetic anymore. Amazing what can happen when you replace processed fake/pseudo foods with nothing but real/whole food. My body still continues to thrive. I simply stopped eating that which not only gave me type 2 diabetes but was also continuing to make it worse regardless of the diabetic medications I was taking. My own doctor reckons that I’m healthier now than I was 30 years ago. I’m now 67 years old and feeling great 👍

When I waiver from the ketogenic diet I become very symptomatic again. It works.

Guess what? It was never a fad and has been around for centuries. It was used to treat epilepsy before meds were created, and is still used for med-resistant cases (should be used in all cases, IMO). There are also books written as early as the late 1700s talking about carb restriction for obesity and it is also well documented in helping to reverse type 2.

Just because you haven’t heard of it, and it seemingly becomes popular “all of a sudden, ” doesn’t make it a fad.

Again, i'm so proud of you all and your network for letting the public know that there are so many alternatives, especially functional medicine. And how what you put in your body can heal you. Lett food would be thy medicine.❤

I've been on a carnivore diet for the three weeks. My neuropathy, tinnitus and heading have greatly improved.

I did Keto a few years back and the first improvement I noticed was the mental clarity after a few weeks on keto. Then the chronic pain I'd had for over 15 years was gone. No sugar, white flour, seed oils nor any processed junk food and I feel great. As soon as I deviate from low carb I start to feel poorly.A very low carb diet has been very beneficial for me.

It's really great to see people in the mainstream start to make the connection between the food/chemicals we put into our bodies and resultant disease. There are also studies looking at the link between metabolic health and Alzheimer's; even to the point of referring to Alzheimer's as Type 3 Diabetes. Lots of other encouraging stuff on the Metabolic Mind YouTube channel if anyone reading this cares to check them out.

Just because there’s not an abundance of research does not mean that is not even more effective than a medication. Many people understand and believe the fact that if you eat high sugar/high carbohydrate/high fat & very unhealthy foods that it will lead to weight gain, diabetes, heart issues, depression, etc, but those same people think it’s outlandish that very healthy foods could cure or prevent those same diseases. When you truly think about that fact, it makes absolutely no sense. Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical industry is very powerful and it’s hard to fund any type of research study on something that is not going to make them money. Why is it so outlandish that the type of food we put in our body could cure or prevent a disease, but acceptable that a pill produced by a pharmaceutical industry will fix the problem?

This works! I’m so glad they are featuring this in the Today show.

The pharmaceutical industry will not allow this to happen. They need to make money by having everyone on pills

Emerging knowledge on gut-brain science and concepts such as Microbiome-Gut-Brain Axis are important in the link between diet and mental health.
