What Is the KETO DIET? — Everything You Need To Know About a Keto Diet for Beginners | Doctor ER. Doctor Wagner explains keto diet basics, ketogenic diet, ketosis, keto diet meal plan, keto diet plan for weight loss, keto diet before after, easy keto diet recipes, keto snack, keto diet results, keto meals, keto benefits, keto food, how to start keto for beginners, and many more keto tips. Is the keto diet healthy? How do you eat a keto diet? Keto diet is bad? Can you lose belly fat fast from losing weight on keto diet? Questions about keto explained and ketosis explained by a real doctor. The ketogenic diet is a very low carb, high fat diet that shares many similarities with the Atkins and low carb diets. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. When this happens, your body becomes incredibly efficient at burning fat for energy. It also turns fat into ketones in the liver, which can supply energy for the brain. Ketogenic diets can cause significant reductions in blood sugar and insulin levels. This, along with the increased ketones, has some health benefits. Have you tried the keto diet? What has your keto diet experience been? Let Doctor Wagner know in the comments below if you've ever tried the keto diet or your other fast loss diet reviews.

I stuck to keto about 3.5 years ago (after multiple failed attempts since it is such a hard diet to stick to) after my ex left me and in about 6 months I lost 100lbs. Sounds crazy and my employer questioned whether I was on drugs or not due to such a sudden weight loss. However, I LOVED being on keto. Made me feel clean and made me feel like every aspect of my health got better (depression symptoms disappeared, no more anxiety, heart palpitations stopped, and I had plenty of energy left over after working two jobs 6 days a week)

Just had a routine checkup with my doctor two weeks ago. I've been in ketosis for 2 months now eating nothing but cheese and red meat. The tests he ran showed that my cardiovascular health has never been better. My triglycerides have never been lower and I'm pretty sure that a small tumor in between my toes is healing. Will keep you guys updated on the tumor prognosis

I've been keto for 3 years. I've found it alleviates my depression better than anti-depressants did, improved mental alertness generally, and aided my memory generally. I'm not on it for weight loss!

A friend of mine went on this a while back and about 50 lbs in about a year. He said he feels better and used to get migraines about 15 times a month and now doesn't get any.

I did Keto for 5 years due to hypoglycemia. A regular diet had my blood sugar fluctuating too much, mostly it was too low. The high fat aspect concerned me when I started because I also had symptoms of gallbladder disease. The diet literally saved my life. Not only did my energy go up and my blood sugar stabilize but I never had a "gallbladder attack" again... which actually turned out to be INFLAMMATION CAUSED BY SUGAR! I found it easy to maintain by carrying liquid monk fruit sweetener for iced tea when eating out and found wonderful recipes on the internet for everything from bread to pizza to cakes. I've never felt better!

I began at 220# a doctor monitored (through the local hospital) low carb, high protein diet and lost over 60#. I looked good and loved the compliments. I felt good, but I was starving all the time. Best of all it wiped out my diabetes! When I resumed a “normal” diet I gained back 50#, and the fat, and the diabetes, and, and, and.
I hope to be as successful with the keto diet without starving to death! Wish me luck.

Keto is absolutely the best thing to do if you have any issues with glucose or insulin. No question at all doc. The only way you screw it up is by overdosing meds. There is no such thing as a essential carbohydrate. All the glucose you need will be produced through Gluconeogenesis in the liver.

In mid-2018 I started the keto diet, I did it for 6 months losing 90 whopping pounds. it practically saved my life physically and mentally, however I wouldn't continue the diet past the 6 month period if not medically prescribed as it can be dangerous to your well being. And unfortunately during covid I gained a ton I mean a ton of extra weight laying around and decided to start the diet again I'm already 20 pounds down 2 months in :)

I am amazed what keto is doing for me, I feel amazing and have no longer wired cravings and I feel much more balanced and energized, It also feels sustainable since I don't have to restrict myself from eating the things I like ( 🍖🍗🥩)

Can you make a video for type 1 and type 2 diabetic people? I mean like a little "summary" about everything that is linked to diabetes in some way. I'd appreciate it, Doc! Keep up the good work, love your videos. Hope you are safe and okay!

5:18 A ketogenic diet doesnt need to be high in saturated fat. You can do it with fish, nuts, avocados, so i dont see how it must be high in saturated fat.

Are avocados ok on keto? I know they have some carbs in them but i thought they were high in healthy fats and good for you.
