1. use a calorie tracker
2. work out your maintenance and eat that by cutting out too many carbs (sugars, junk food)
3. slowly reduce calories
4. It's a slow process but works

It’s soooo true. I am 54 and have been overweight for over 6 years now. I kept putting it off to changed metabolism, hormones and medical conditions. I basically accepted my fate lol
It turns out I was missing some “hidden calories “ which were attributed to alcohol, snacks, not counting anymore etc. Once I understood there are no exceptions, I felt motivated again. On the TDEE page I put my height and GOAL weight in and the maintenance calories for that weight were calculated. It finally worked. Calories in - calories out. Thanks for the advice and video.

Very well said Joe. MyFitnessPal and if you can calculate your macros for maintenance and then take 200 to 300 calories off that....you should start to lose weight. You are awesome Joe ! :) You guys have a terrific Monday

I am a super busy Mom of 4 kids under age 10, work full-time, and go to college part-time! I BARELY have time to workout and have gained a lot of weight from stress and eating shitty foods. I hope that this can give me the head start I need.

unfortunately every body is different. i eat 1, 000 per day and GAIN weight. i have to eat 500 per day to stay the same. eating 0 is the only way i can lose.

Hey, i'm a 22 year old female. If i take 500 calories off it's around 1500, i know it's unhealthy to eat less than this so how do i lower it?

My maintenance calories is 1192. If I cut 500 I’ll only be left with 692 calories. That’s not enough to get the nutrients I need.
