This is why my rep range is always 5-10, with precious few exceptions. Once the first set reaches 9 or 10, it's time to increase the weight.

This a very true statement....but for recovery I start a 5 week program like this ...I start with 5 reps in the tank first week so by the last 2 weeks I'm at 2 or even 1 allows me to recover and gain more muscle

Yeah 5-10 rep range works wonders. If you train with correct technique and intensity, you only need 3-6 sets per muscle group to stimulate growth. High volume is unnecessary with this approach

Did triceps 5 exercises 4 sets minimum 7 max 12 reps. Now 3 day sore❤

Try HIT guys 3-4 exercises per week one set each to total failure. I been training 15 years and it works for me. I was skeptical at first

It’s true you build more muscle but there is a point as a natty where it starts to be like 50% more work/time/money for like 5% extra gains at best.I trained for 8 months and never went close to failure and I made real good gainz, my strength wasn’t that good tough but then again I had zero joint issues and I was never super sore, also did not feel the need to eat more than 3 meals a day but mind you I was 22 y old back then.

Reaching failure as a natural is not a wise idea, you increase cortisol significantly more therefore you reduce testosterone
