While cold temperatures can cause your body to burn more calories in order to stay warm, the amount of fat burned is too minuscule to be considered meaningful when it comes to weight loss.

I’ve plunged 5 minutes every day in 44 degree water for the past 45 days. Zero weight loss but I feel great everyday and couldn’t imagine not plunging daily. Stripping fat off the body - nope.

There are many many articles and videos attesting to the benefits of cold plunging/immersion beyond fat loss. Those doubting its effects should look up the research and testimonials instead of questioning and knocking the well-intention of the poster and the validity of his offering. This is just a short after all, enough that it informs and pricks interest. If one does not deem it worthwhile to put in a little effort to verify a claim from a person with credential, it's likely that one would not put in an effort for health and weight loss.

BTW, losing fat and losing weight are not the same thing. One can lose weight, sometimes very fast, from losing water and losing muscles. Bones and muscles are much denser than fat and many strong fit people have very high BMI.

Depends on your genetics… there’s no one size fits all for human health. Some people do great with veggies others do great with meats…

He is right but he need to elaborate that when you have fats deposits in your body that means you been eating excessively. You lost fats in cold bath but if you eat again you will replenish those fats over and over again. You need to fast until your body start consuming your fats deposits then you'll on your way of losing it.

Complete bs. Otherwise bodybuilders would do it regularly. MMA fighters do it and often not shredded at all. Your body works a little extra to stay warm. I promise hour of cardio a day burns more. This is silly.
