5 minute warm-up and cool-down routine | Exercises for Seniors & Beginners

This short 5 minute warm-up or cool-down routine can be used pre or post-exercise for exercises for seniors and beginners. You should always warm up prior to a workout and also cool-down at the end. In most of my workouts that I create for you, I already build a warm-up and cool-down into the workout. For some of workouts, I create 'add-ons' or 'stackables' (as I like to call them) where I create short workouts that you can stack together to build a longer workout. For those workouts, I'd suggest adding on a warm-up and a cool-down (unless they are already build into the routine).

I like having the BPM included and the faster music really helps get that heart rate up.

I think it's a great idea to have a separate warm up available. Sometimes I combine several of your videos and don't need another warm up at the beginning. Thanks for giving us so many choices.

I love your work. A couple of general wish-list ideas: I love a 'complete' workout. Even if it's a short workout, but to have a warmup and cooldown/stretch included makes it a simple one-click for me. Also, if you could count down before changing to the next exercise, even if it's just '3-2-1.' These are very minor requests; the bottom line is I find your style so relaxing and yet effective, and I keep coming back. Thank you.

I would like to request 5-7 minute stretch videoes. Some seated some standing. Some for beginners some for intermediates. Just like your five minute warm-up video these could be added at the end of some vigorous workouts.

Can warm ups and cool downs be pretty interchangeable? I just used this as a cool down after the weight loss cardio. Very nice.
