Back Pain POSSIBLE SOLUTION?

Working on it guys. The sudden 50 degree drop in temperature is NOT feeling good on the ol' back. I got these inversion boots used off amazon for $30. They are a little uncomfortable on the feet and make your legs numb after a while, but hopefully that will be a small price to pay to be able to skate regularly again.

I had back pain for years from bad posture, and tight hamstrings. I slept on a Japanese tatami mat once and the next morning I felt like someone had replaced my spine with a new one. Sleeping on a hard mat will do the same thing as hanging upside down. There is no point in hanging this just to sleep on a bad mattress all night. I can’t recommend tatami enough. A carpet works just as well.

Would love to hear the outcome of this 30 days down the road. Dead hangs also help me. Just 3 reps of 30 - 60s a day. I work editing video all day in a chair so I have to leave to do some dead hangs for my lower back every couple hours but I admittedly don't have any injury I can just feel the compression on my spine after sitting so long.

Best thing I did for my back was giving it some rest and not doing anything too strenuous for a couple months.

if your leg muscles are too tight it can cause back pain. stretching my legs helped me to get rid of my lower back pain. it took a couple of months.

Have you ever tried Kratom? Stuff was a godsend after I had spinal surgery. I recommend an ounce of R Bali powder to start, just take a little spoonful at first. You’ll be feeling back to normal in no time

You have great range of motion still . You might benefit from a TENS unit. it has pad and electrodes that stick to your back and passes a small tingling current between the pads. works to loosen muscles, and helps regenerate nerves in the back... My back is fkn smoked. Fractured vertebrae from tailbone to upper mid back (arthritis) lower vertebrae are mis shapen. they look like the under armour logo. worn down facets and nerves are fried

I mess my back up all of time. Especially since I am 41 and have been skateboarding for around 305 days in a row this year. Just saying that for experience reasons. Point being, a bad back is usually because of Tight hamstrings (because of jumping a lot) or because of Tight Hips (because of jumping a lot and sitting a lot.).

swimming is very good cus you're weightless in the water there's no pressure on the spine so you can work on mobilty and strengthening without putting your back into shit itself mode. do strokes that keep your spine in a neutral postion, like front crawl. is all about getting pain-free so you can strengthen the core muscles without the overactive ones spazzin out.
