I just wanted to thank you all. This video encouraged me to go to the ER. I ended up having emergency surgery on my L4/L5 because I had a herniated disc. They said it was so horrible and they hadn’t seen anything like it.

I’m 31 and I have several chronic illnesses, so a lot of time people just tell me to deal with the pain. This video convinced me that I was right and should seek immediate help. I had a drop foot and everything.

Thanks for all you all do!!!

A big thank you to Bob and Brad; I left you over a month ago, it was nothing either of you did. I just recovered. Saw the PA and the PT; lovelyboth of them but the hard work I did with you both. I did the exercises and the stretching everyday on my mat...and I thought I’ll be never be normal again. I can bend like Houdini now. Took 7 months of dedicated therapy on the mat I thought I’d NEVER RECOVER. But I did. Do the exercises Bob and Brad suggest and don’t give up. It can take months to years. Lose excess weight and feed your body properly.

Good points. My question is: What kind of doctor do we consult? A neurologist or someone with a different specialisation?

Thanks so much for these videos. helpful. Foot drop is what got me into see my doctor (before I saw this video.) I had X-rays today, MRI scheduled later in the week. Back doesn't hurt at all, so I think this went un & mis-diagnosed for a while. Gonna watch all these videos now ... I'll do whatever it takes to get over this - no fun at all. Fingers crossed.

I have had severe back pain for years. Severe. I can’t sleep with out being drugged up. I have seen doctors and they haven’t been able to help me. I have scoliosis and had a few injuries. My dad had fusion surgery at 24 and it helped him. I am 39 yr old female and keep getting blown off by surgeons. They pushed me to do a spinal cord stimulator even though I had no relief with the trial.

I had what I thought was sciatica after doing some land cleaning, the pain would not go away, it went on for about 6 months and got to the point that I could NOT get any relief. And to make a long story short I found out that I have stage 4 prostate cancer with metastatic disease, with no other symptoms

Hi,
Let me just tell you I love your videos.
I have a question.
I am a 28 years old woman, with scoliosis, a single (slight) 'C' curve in my lower back from when I was 7.
My lower back has been painful since forever, especially when I'm standing or sitting for a long time. I've worked on my scoliosis and made it better. To this day I'm doing back exercises, swim and work on my back muscles.

However, for the past year, I've been waking up with severe lower back pain, which usually goes away at the end of the day and gets back as I sleep.
This is something that has never happened to me. In the past, usually rest helped with my back pain.
I always linked this morning back pain due to the change of my mattress. The pain actually started when I changed my mattress.
The new one was very firm memory foam, that in my opinion didn't really shape with my body nicely. By back just didn't like it from the very beginning.
About 3 weeks ago, after a year I finally decided to change my mattress to a new pocket coil mattress that was marked as orthopedic, with 5 comfort zones.
Now, I don't experience the same pain as with the memory foam mattress, but I'm still waking up with horrible lower back pain. I even wake up in the middle of the night trying to find a pain-free position.
Tried everything: changing the pillows, sleeping with a pillow between my legs - NOTHING.
I have no idea what it is exactly, but I can tell that it's linked to my left butt and left leg.
I don't feel pain in my leg, however, when I stand on my left leg my back hurts more.

I'm a really active person, I do HIIT, yoga, I walk a lot, run....
I can't believe that something that should feel like rest and recover as sleep, causes me so much pain.
I would really appreciate it if you could give me any sort of advice.
THANK YOU!

What about searing pain that makes you cry and can only be relieved by sitting in a certain position, unable to walk? I went to the ER because I'd never felt pain like that before. They gave me steroids, and I haven't had the pain since.
