I fluctuate between being unbelievably indecisive and then incredibly impulsive. It's a nightmare and I struggle to get a good balance

Can you have the opposite?: overthinking, indecision, fear of the wrong decision, decision fatigue, analysis paralysis.

This made me physically sick. I'm sure Im not alone, it's something I've become aware of post diagnosis, but spelt out so succinctly in all its forms is visceral, hits deep. The quadmires we end up in. Although thankfully, the exit strategy is never as bad as the ADHD mind imagines, and again sleeping on it, sitting with it, allows you space to work through and maybe learn from it.

Woow, super dope. I noticed that I am also usually overwhelmed and can only understand if I really liked something or somebody only after a few days of sleeping on it

As a 16 year old who was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age, I started to understand this on my own and started to think before every single action, making me slower and unable to be on the same wavelength as others, causing me to finally have an answer when someone else starts talking.

I have ADHD and I have the opposite of the problem where I have anxiety and I overthink everything and can't make decisions

I’m just recently diagnosed, and there’s so much more to it than I thought, and that you aren’t made aware of. These videos are so informative, keep doing what you’re doing 🙂

Making decisions from a distance is key. We analyze so well the idea here is to give yourself that space X time that adhd uses to its advantage without poisoning the well with outside influences during that time. That time you take alone is the “walk” where we adhd’ers do the real “work” and that’s why it’s important to

Hate that others feel this way, but also nice to know I’m not alone. ❤

I trust my intuition. That helps. Not necessarily my excitement. But my gut feeling.

So true and yet, when too much reflexion time is taken, the decision paralysis might kick in... Impulsivity was some time the only pushing forward energy that I could rely on...

Absolutely agree! Sleeping on it is a great first step. Then listen to your gut. Don't act if it doesn't feel right.

And don't be to hard on yourself if you've made a wrong decision or step back from a wrong decision!

This hits hard. I've developed a fear of big decisions and commitments due to the bad stuff that happened as a result of my impulsivity. 😔
