I’m fully adhd adult. I’m best at large gatherings. Shows, clubs tons of concerts, Metal, punk, Industrial and a multitude of art and culture.
But I’m more off base in a Walmart because everyone is going different ways. In a mall most move in a pattern. At concerts and stage, we are all there to see the same thing.
My one issue with your lessons, is that you cover a wide range, but a range like a larger group of “us”.
The introvert and the extrovert adhd are different in the way we find joy and how we re-energize/recover from our surroundings.
I’ve been on this road a long time. It’s been a hard road.
Finding out it’s not defect, but a misunderstanding of a overly sensitive creature.
Thank you for this channel and how you’ve helped me find a stance.
We will never agree all the time but, we love to learn.
We love to know how it works.
❤️❤️

I have a dear friend who is the best person in the world to go out with. We loved to do a lot of the same things, but if one of us wasn’t having a good time and the other was, we would split up and there were no problems. I’m very fortunate to have her as my friend.

That is actually my absolute hate thing about having adhd.
My family is really loud. If I am visiting, everyone is talking loudly and at the same time and if I want to focus on something that is not working right away I am so overstimulated that I cant think straight and am about to explode. Usually I leave the room but somehow my father has always the talent to get me the second before I leave and asks me something completely nice and in a calm manner. But I snap at him. I hate it so much! He does not deserve that! I will apologize right away, leave the room and explain, that it was not against him and that it was just to much at that very moment and that not he but I am the problem.
But that does not change the snap and the hurt feeling and I hate that.
I think that is the behaviour I hate the most about me. Really really hate. I would love to change that.
I am starting to cry as I am writing this.
I am so angry at myself for that kind of behaviour. And I am so hopeless and helpless. I do not know how to change that. I think I tried everything. I really try to leave on time, but it seems I am always one second to late.

I have AuDHD. I struggle with transitions. If Im at home I struggle to get out, if Im out I struggle to go home. The worst bit is when I'm overstimulated but still am the last to leave. I always have to walk home alone after a night out (not very safe) to decompress before getting home

I have recently found out that if I wear sunglasses when driving in the dark I don't get tired as easily. It really helps with the sharp headlights of oncoming traffic.

I love the over the top experience. It’s sad when I have to go back to the stupid real world.
That’s why I say that there are opposite sides to the ADHD world. Please I’d love to discuss.

This is why I always wear noise cancelling headphones at the gym. I may come across as unfriendly, but the over stimulation of noise becomes too much to handle.

Man, I just went through this pretty badly last week. I went to a Halloween event at a major theme park. Now, I love Halloween, and scare houses, and theme parks and all that stuff! But there was ONE particular line we ended up in that routed into one of the parking garages - because of the space, they also had large industrial fans going to keep it from getting too hot for people.

The issue was that I hadn’t brought my earplugs to this event, and the combination of the echoing conversations of everyone in the line, plus the loud fans, plus the loud music and sound effects from the theme park, PLUS the people in my group increasingly shouting next to me as they tried to hold a conversation over all the noise led to me totally shutting down.

The good news was my boyfriend was super understanding about me just wanting to stand in total silence and refusing to talk, and our other friend is autistic so despite actually handling the overstimulation in the moment better than me, he also mentioned when we got out of line that he had pretty much been at the end of his tolerance as well.

The other good news was that it was the first line of the night and none of the other lines were anywhere close to that bad. I just need to remember that I’m at the point of my life now where I need to always bring my earplugs with me.

I wear shades a lot but people probably think I'm presumptuous since I always dress in nice suits. I hate that I cannot wear shades indoors because it's usually indoors where I feel trapped
