Dr. Rowe shows the wall lean (and one more bonus move :), one of the most effective exercises for instant sciatica pain relief.

The wall lean is a great way to reduce pressure on a pinched nerve from a bulging or herniated disc, the main cause of sciatica.

It can be used throughout the day, as needed.

Let us know how it works for you!

My dad’s doctor was also a chiropractor and he taught my dad these stretches. That was back in the 1970’s, they work.

When I get sciatica lately it's usually the bottom part of my leg that gets the pain. That first stretch always relieves the pain for me.

Thank you. The wall exercise provided some relief. Not as painful to stand or walk now. Sciatica on my right side. The stretching is a bit painful, yet tolerable. I’ll keep doing the stretches. Time to cut the grass tomorrow, I do not want to do that with a walking cane!

Thanks for the videos, I've learned a few useful tricks to add to my routine.
In the past two months I figured out how to deep stretch my QL's and lower longissimus, which have been in continuous spasm for many years. Each morning I stretch and loosen these muscles, but within a hour or so they are all tight, stiff and painful again. Why does this happen?
On one day my left QL will be in spasm and the next day the right one takes over, but they never calm down for long.
I've taken off layers of pain only to reveal what feels like new types of pain deeper inside. When I stretch and move It feels like each individual muscle attachment of my QL's is inflamed and sore. Not at the rib attachment, but the ilium and individual vertebra attachments of the QL's are very painful and sensitive, having a sharp sensation like being stuck with a needle when pulled upon.

What could be the cause of these pains?
