Beginner Core Exercises With Resistance Band For Seniors | More Life Health

Join me (Mike - Physiotherapist) for this 10 minute, seated core exercise routine for seniors using a resistance band. Strengthen and tone your core with these exercises.

If you don't have a resistance band, you can still follow the exercises and work your core.

REMEMBER TO WARM-UP prior to doing this exercise:

At 78 years all my muscles are like pudding, a friend has bought me 2 X 1.4kg, help Theraband´s and hopefully with your video help I will regain strength in my legs, arthritic lower back and arms. Pleased to meet you, glad I found you 🤗

Thanks, Mike. My Dad passed away this May and since have been focused on helping my Mom get thru it. I've been staying with her and I have not attended to my own needs. From working at home hunched over the computer for hours to eating large dinners with her I've probably gained a good 20 lbs. With help from your videos and cutting way back on my food intake I feel like I'm beginning to return to the land of the living. Thank you for this. Teresa age 63.

Love Mike Kutcher's exercises. I'm almost 65 with both knees replaced, so I've done my share of physiotherapy. Mike is a wonderful physiotherapist and his exercise videos make my morning! 🤗

I find this routine using the band for core great to understand Mike's 10 Minute Core Strengthening Workout For Seniors. And then the core posture makes it easier to follow the variety in An Introduction to Resistance Bands For Seniors. Thank you very much, Mike.

I am back after a long time doing nothing. Really stretched my limits. I am in such bad condition at the moment. Need to schedule a time every day. With saying that, I did pass my echo and stress test with flying colours. Cardiologist was very happy.

Our resistance bands arrived two weeks ago. I got very weak arms and wrists and initially struggled to stretch the band using ‘holes’ 3 and 7 but I’m managing it quite well now.

My husband had always been a strong person. He’s had Parkinson’s for 12 years and using the band helps maintain strength and movement of his upper and lower extremities.

Perhaps one day you will devise exercises for Parkinson’s sufferers.

Hi Mike! I just did this core exercise knowing that it's for beginners. I've done your more advanced core routines and pause the video to do many more than prescribed. This routine is good for maintenance and on days when I'm feeling lazy. It's a good one! Thanks!...Anastasia

Hi, I’m 59 years old and have been avoiding most core exercises due to sciatica for 15 years. These seem very doable for me. Going to give it a shot and see if my sciatica decreases. Thanks again.
