Hey there! How much walking (if any) are you doing right now while trying to lose weight? I'm currently walking 10k steps every other day and running 3-4 miles the other days (these are jogs, not "runs" or sprints, just super light and easy) to save time.

Jan 2023 I was 206lbs. 35yo, 5’10”. Wanted to lose some weight so I started walking to work. My job is 3.1mi from my house. Takes me a full hour. Now we’re in April and I’m 186lbs. The best part is my legs are muscular and definitely save a lot of money on gas and wear a tear in my car.

I was at 250+ lbs mainly because of a knee injury and a pretty sedentary lifestyle. But when I started adding 30 min walks daily for a week, I felt lighter and my knee pain lessened. Fast forward 2 months and now currently doing 2 sessions of 45 minute walks daily. Lost 30lbs overall

I walk everyday for 1 hour in my local park. My mental health has massively improved and my weight went down 5lb for the first week. I have a very active job

I walked for 4 miles yesterday and did a little bit of a jog every now and then. I am over weight and have depression. That first walk for me was enough to help with my depression a bit and make me feel good. I am going to start doing it everyday till I am where I need to be. My goal is to get back to jogging a few miles with no rest. But walking is powerful and I feel better after just one good walk.

I started walking April 1st. I weighed 258 lbs. today august 17 th I weigh 214 lbs . All just walking 2 to 3 mi. 5 times a week. I also did watch what I was eating.

I'm 54 and started walking in July of 2020. I walked all summer, fall, winter, and now Spring. My minimum is 6 days a week and 10 miles a day. 10 miles takes me 2 1/2 hours. My longest walks have been 21 miles. I've shed 35 lbs and no longer get winded on hills. I feel awesome! My only issue has been dehydration. I use to underestimate how much fluid I was losing, especially in the summer. I've weighed myself after a 10 mile walk and I lost 4 lbs even with water in hand. Everyone stay hydrated!

I started walked min 10k a day just bec 1) I'm bored 2) jobless 3) overweight 4) to see how mental health improves (if it does). So far this is 5th day & hoping to keep this habit up cuz why not. Wish me luck! 🤗 at least going to maintain this as a challenge for 30 days

A great hack with this is spreading your steps out over the whole day with smaller/frequent walks. It keeps you more generally active.

I used to make the mistake of doing a long 6-8 mile walk in the early AM to get all my steps done. But then you wind up sitting more as a whole on the day.

Now I do a 45 min in the early morning, a 30 min before lunch, and then short 15's every few hrs after I lift at the gym. This has helped me stabilize energy, digestion, and even get more overall steps. Walking is no longer a grind anymore.

I was walking 1 hour everyday and my weight was 260 lbs down to 189 lbs in few months. My breakfast is 1 glass of juice depends on what fruits available, lunch like usual, and then fasting till the next morning. Drink plenty of water, thats it

I walk 4 miles every other day. I use hiking poles to add an upper body aspect. Combined with intermittent fasting I have lost about 74 pounds over the last year. Another 75 or so to go but hurray for me for what I have accomplished so far)
N!B! I started with a lot less of a distance and gradually worked up to 4 miles.
I walk outside and the nice part of that is you have to get home so unlike using a treadmill you can not just jump off with the intent of finishing latter. The bad part of that is it is winter and I live in Maine, today it was 33 degrees (just dress appropriately).
Really more important than just the weight loss is how much more energy I have for EVERYTHING, in fact I am STARTING to see the weight loss as a by product of just getting more fit, that is to say maybe I should not have a specific weight loss goal in mind ( you know I reached my goal weight now I can quit) I just want to get healthier so I can do more things for the rest of my, hopefully longer, life.

I walk about 2 miles a day, along with OMAD (one meal a day) & the keto diet. I lost about 11 pounds in 2 weeks. This is by far the most affective routine I’ve ever tried.

I'm 62 & walk at least 2hrs a day. Love it & keep a calorie count with an app. In the sun walking is just the best. We live near the sea, just fab x

I've lost 30Ibs walking and being a bit more careful with my eating habits since January 2020. Started a little weights and cycling recently too, it all helps. I try to eat 2000 or less calories per day and then burn 200/300 each day too. I have bad days where I'll eat a takeaway after dinner, but I don't give up. Prayer has helped me too, with motivation when I'm low.

Decided walk to and from school instead of using the bus, and eat less (once a day with lots of water); I was stunned by how much weight I lost and how much happier I felt.

oh wow! the iron board is amazing!!! 😅❤️ I started to work on my health 3 months ago and lost 21 kg since then. Mostly thanks to walking! I do at least 10.000 steps a day but on a treadmill. I also do the 12/3/30 workout every other day and started ˋcouch to 10kˋ and just today I managed my first 10km run and I am so happy!
