I never knew people who told me to go take a hike actually did it out of care for my wellbeing.

Walking daily is a game changer. Focusing on 7-10k steps daily is doable for most of us.

I am a cancer patient who does short rapid strides flat and on streets with inclines. I will sometimes go out before breakfast and do a half marathon distance. All of my power walks are between 10K and so far 26K. My late great race buddy Edith always told me it's not worth getting out of bed if it's less than 10K. My hemotologist is astounded by not only the amount of walking I do but also the medical benefits relating to my cancer (multiple myeloma).

I'm 225lbs and started walking 11km everyday this week to start losing weight. Found myself forefoot walking just because I found it cause less pain in my feet, glad to learn there are other benefits to walking like this too.

Forefoot walking is the way to go. I live in a hilly area and walk 7 - 8km per day, half of it is up a incline. Incline walking will burn 10% more calories than walking flat terrain. After walking for a week, I find myself almost wanting to start a jog from forefoot walking. I know I am not fully ready just yet. All it takes is one small injury to undo any progress I've made so far. I was a runner all though highschool, and do miss it. I'm 48 years old now, and out of shape. No matter the leg pain, I remain determined and keep pushing forward.

Love walking! Its helped me to drop 15lb (very hard for me) and i genuinely believe its the only real exercise our bodies were designed to do (along with sprinting occasionally to get away from predators). Love this video

It's called the airborne shuffle. It's an incredible slow run at about 4.5mph. I find it easier to do than walking because I'm 4'11.

I walk 25, 000 steps on both Saturday and Sunday wearing a weighted vest. Very happy with the results so far.

Striking the ground with the forefoot is helped by using the entire length of the foot. Activating the chain from the lower back, to the glutes, from the calves all the way to the toes allows for a easier walking form. Not lifting the back foot until the toes helps the ankle flexion as well as forces the body to wait so that the leading food is properly underneath the body, limiting heel strike.

Thanks to your videos I walk with better posture as well as helping my older family members get the most out of their daily walks. Thank you so much!

Just walk and move your body.
That's it.
No need to make simple things complicated.
Just move your ass.

My heel strike walk is more natural to me than my forefoot walk. Since seeing these videos a few days ago, I been focusing on forefoot but feel like I'm literally pounding the pavement.

Interesting video. Been checking my walking speed regularly and monitoring the steps. On a good day, can touch 132 steps per minute, tops. More often that not, the steps range between 115-118 per minute. And strive daily to get in a brisk walk of minimum 40 minutes, covering about 5 kilometers. And walking is a joy more than an exercise.

Excellent video. I walk twice a day in order to burn fat. I tried running, but I lose too much muscle strength when I do that and because I am over 50, I'd rather keep the muscle strength.
